   This is an interesting restaurant. It is really 3 venues in one. If you sit in the bar area, it is loud and energetic. If you sit in the dining room, it is quiet and intimate. If you go upstairs to the State Room, it has a speakeasy vibe. They all share the same menu. The food was good. We had the Oysters, which were ehh. The beet humus was not my taste, but my wife enjoyed it. Rigatoni and the salmonn, and both were tasty. The service was excellent, and the bill was reasonable by today's standards for restaurants. Im not a big fan of Patchogue restaurants. This one is different.

   With a fun and innovative food and drinks menu Shands doesn’t disappoint. From the friendly greeting as you walk in to the knowledgable and friendly wait staff we had an exceptional dinner experience. The bone marrow and beef tartare app was amazing. Cocktails were fun including a basil martini which is not be missed! Mains were all beautifully prepared with well matched sides. And dessert was also exceptional. I can’t wait to go back!

   Our server was great. Salmon was delicious. I ordered a decaf cappuccino but was told no decaf so went with it and it was watery, served with a packet of domino sugar. unfortunate way to end what was otherwise a nice dining experience.

   Service and food were exceptional. Cocktails are top notch. Stand out foods were the lamb and the fettuccine pasta. Try the lamb, some of the best lamb I’ve ever had.

   My girlfriends and I just came for Sunday brunch. We sat in the main dining area near the bar, which has a great view of the street. My Bloody Mary was perfect. We each ordered different items from the menu, and were all extremely satisfied (the Croque Madame is FANTASTIC). The brunch menu has a lot of great options, the food presentation was gorgeous, the flavors were on point, the service was excellent, and portions were satisfying. It was also my friends birthday which the waitress noticed at the beginning of brunch, and a large slice of cake was brought over at the end of our meal without us having to ask for anything special to be done. I will definitely be back for brunch and am excited to try dinner as well!

   Made a reservation for Sunday brunch. Kitchen was really backed up and we waited over an hour to be served our food. Our waiter was kind enough to offer free deviled eggs app for the inconvenience but it was still a very long wait for just eggs and salad. The omelette I ordered portion size was super small- 2 eggs max-, very salty and came with a salad instead of toast or something that pairs well with eggs. In my opinion, there are far better brunch spots on the island! Overall, pretty place and atmosphere but small portion sizes and not worth it for the cost.

    Everything was above and beyond. From the service to the food, couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend!
