   Pacing of the meal was a mess - this has been a consistent issue with Sfoglina for some time. The meal started with some bread and olive oil - bread was so hard as to be inedible. Appetizer came out literally 2 minutes after ordering, cocktail 25 minutes later. We requested that the kitchen hold off on firing the main course. When we told the waiter to move ahead, the main arrived within minutes - clearly our request was not honored.

   Our dinner was absolutely delightful and delicious. Service was impeccable. The short rib tortellini was a big hit as was my cavatelli. The soup special was delicious. The host was very gracious about our birthday celebration and comped the ricotta donuts which along with the chocolate cake was delicious. Nice wine list of a wide price range so easy to find a delicious, affordable selection. It was our second visit and it will definitely be a go to restaurant.

   A let down based on all the positive reviews. Food was delicious but service (if you could call it that) was awful. They gave us plenty of time to decide on menu choices and by that, I mean they ignored us for a while. When the waiter finally did come up to offer water and drinks we were ready to order food. Ordered a meatball dish (amazing) a small salad, two sups (also delicious) and two mains (both good). Asked for them to pace app and salad first then soup and then mains. I Lao said I’d like to order a wine with the main. This was the last time we saw the waiter. Food runner, of course, brought app, salad and soups at the same time. I ate the soup first since it was hot. The runner then dropped the mains while I was eating salad. So tacky. Never had a chance to order wine so we just ate. Another waiter finally came to pick up dirty plates and asked if we wanted dessert but we were done by then and asked for the check. He brought it and disappeared to back of the house with my card. Will keep an eye on that. Start to finish we were there maybe 50 minutes and never once were we asked how things were. Bad showing and as good as the food was I doubt we’d come back.

   Wow, we had the 3 pastas, sooo delish. And still had room for the gelato. Lovely birthday dinner.

    Exceptionally prepared food. Wait staff were friendly and attentive. We had a party of 6 and all raved about this restaurant. Would definitely recommend.
