   Very strange- arrived on time for our 6:30 reservation, restaurant was closed. Maybe out of business? No idea. We went elsewhere.

   Appetizer heavy menu, everything was good , the smoked chicken wings and the Lamb shank stood out. Oysters were nice a fresh. Service was friendly and efficient. Bands play at night , so loud after 9 pm.

   We had been looking forward to a meal at Servando's for the past several months and delayed our decision because friends had gone there and they were "disappointed" with the food. Since that time, Servando's has changed their menu so we decided to give it a try. Despite being less than half full, the restaurant was loud and chaotic. For an appetizer we ordered "deep fried mac & cheese ball" expecting several bite sized balls. Instead it was one gigantic softball sized ball so we got mostly mac & cheese and little of the deep fried crust on the outside. My wife is a vegetarian and the restaurant has no vegetarian entrees but, to the chef's credit, he did come to the table and ultimately decided that he could make her a vegetarian cioppino dish which was very good. I had the house special for the evening. paella, which was good but, for the money, quite a small portion. It did come with a free glass of sangria which had virtually no alcoholic content. In general, for what they charge for the food, we can do a lot better in other restaurants. That said, it would be a good place to go for happy hour - 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm - when drinks and appetizers are all half price. That makes the food and drink a lot more affordable and they do have a good selection of appetizers.

   Made a dinner reservation to dine, listen & dance to Smokey Sessions ( enjoyed SS). Service was horrible. waiter kept disappearing for extended periods of time . Dinner ( ribs were good )came out immediately after the appetizer even though we requested that it be held for a while as we were going to be there for some time.. Waiter asked if we would like to see a dessert menu, we said no.. so he sat down and rattled off the desserts ? asked four times for a sparkling water ,never got it ! Finally went to the bar ordered and paid for a drink and told the manager that we would be upstairs for a while if anyone wanted to bring our dinner check, we could have walked out at any time without paying but waited another 10/15 mins.until the waiter arrived with the check and apologies. Will never return but will look for Smokey Sessions at other area restaurants

   The Happy Hour choices were quite nice and the prices were excellent! Have already recommended this restaurant to friends.

   Always enjoyable....Have been here many times and never disappointed. we usually order small plates and salads. All were well prepared and delicious. Service was excellent

   This was one of my favorite restaurants in Sarasota. Recent changes have not been for the better. If they survive the summer maybe they will improve when the season starts again.

   We loved the new direction Servandos has taken with the menu. Food was tasty and prices were reasonable. Best calamari appetizer around and I loved the salmon with cauliflower mash. Bar is always hopping.

    Since booking the reservation, the restaurant has changed significantly over the past few days: painted the walls red, added a loud (but good band) to the dining room starting at 9 pm, menu is now Mexican, added a pool table, etc. Not sure that the restaurant has determined their target market and what they want to be. While the appetizers, paella, etc. were good, two orders of salmon entrees were overcooked the 1st time and then undercooked the 2nd time. The bartenders were attentive and friendly. The waiters tried to bring appetizers to us at the bar and another table's food to us in the dining room.
