   We went to the late dinner on valentines. Food was good service was great!

   Girlfriend and I went Valentines Day for dinner at 8:00pm with reservations. Host seemed a little confused about reservation. They had cleaned a table in main dining area for us. But when our menus were laid on table, another host picked up menus and said to follow him. He took us to a bar high table in the bar area. Waitress was immensely friendly and talkative. We ordered drinks, then an appetizer and meals. Took over 30 minutes to get our appetizer of chicken skewers basted in a peanut sauce. Ample size and good taste. Once we finished appetizer, I was approached by waitress and informed that they were out of medium rare prime rib and only had medium left. I agreed to medium. It was then another 30 minutes or so to receive our meal. Although more done than I would have liked to have eaten the prime rib was very good. GF had a ribeye steak with baked potato wedges. Her steak was cooked correctly but wasn't even warm enough to melt the butter that was served on top of it. Potato wedges were good but one was not cooked enough to it. . They obviously were aware of our wait, as we did get a free dessert of a skillet cookie and ice cream. The restaurant did not appear to be at full capacity. It would have been nice to sit in the general dining area as opposed to the bar. Food was good for most part but not up to the standards of the price charged.

   Every comment from Valentine's Day is warranted. Our computer system in the back of the house went down that night along with a cook down in the kitchen. Everything ran great until about 6:45pm and that is when we started having printer errors. No excuse, but I wanted to own the problem and let people know that we are sorry for what happened. I hope you can forgive and give another try. The food quality at least was mostly on point. The times were terrible.

   The Whistlestop Fried Dream Tomatoes were amazing. My husband got the prime rib - ordered it medium rare but something happened in the kitchen and it came out medium instead. He liked it, but has had better. I got the Berry Blue Filet. The steak was cooked great, but I wasn’t so sure about the blueberry toile. Overall, the food was great, though, and our server was amazing. Enjoyed Valentines Day with my love!!

   Waited an hour and a half for our food the other night. They comped our app and dessert because it took so long. Food was okay, but I was definitely expecting more. Seats were repaired with duct tape, and it just needed an overall update. Not impressed, and will not be back.

   Food was good, large portions, good value for the money. Four issues: 1. Ordered fried green tomatoes for appetizer for wife and I to share. It came on single plate, no side plates to split it on, so we had to take food from middle of table each and it was not comfortable. If we each had our own small plate to share the dish, it would have been a normal event. 2. When the appetizer was removed, they took our cutlery. When our meals came, we had to ask for more cutlery. 3. Manager came over to see how we were doing and thank us for coming. I showed him my steak that was ordered medium and came well done. His comment was, wow that is well done. Sorry about that. No offer to have it done again correct or no offer to give a break on the bill. He just moved on. 4. Our bill came with a charge for something we did not order. Maybe a simple mistake, but for anyone just handing over a credit card, it would have been an $8.50 over charge. The restaurant staff needs more training and more attention to detail.

   Excellent food, waiting staff very friendly. Wait for food was a bit long but as expected when fully booked.

   We had the pretzel, the king's cut prime rib and the tuna. Wow, wow and wow! We'll be going back to try something new until we have tried it all. Simply outstanding!

   First time here our reservation was at 4 pm yesterday Valentine's day. We had the place to ourselves. The food is excellent I got the filet medallions with garlic mashed potatoes with blueberries steak was coked to perfection. For appetizer we got the breaded mushrooms very good,we will definitely be back. Compliments to the chef.

   Appetizer, Whistlestop Fried Dream Tomatoes (delicately fried, crispy tower layered w/in-house pimento cheese) - Excellent. Entree, Berry Blue Filet - melt-in-your-mouth terrific; comes with an out-of-this-world concoction also offered in Appetizers called Blueberry Hill. The flavors were a surprising, original blend influenced with blue cheese and cream with pecans. "Influenced" because it was not overpowering, which blue cheese can be. A "surprise," because I've never tasted anything like it and I've had the good fortune to eat at some pretty great domestic and international restaurants. There was a blueberry sauce beautifully presented on the plate with the filet, and a cracker made out of blue cheese (what a surprise!). Was given 100% attention from the owner, Adam, who waited on us, because all the wait-staff was attending to a big birthday group (on a Sun.). As a result, we got to ask a lot of questions about the place and food. The chef came out as well - Kevin - who used to be head chef at Stax Peppermill (where we never got a bad meal!). Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. We were at Spartanburg location and learned a 2nd location has opened up in downtown Greer. Will definitely go. A++ -Dana

    Unfound gem in Spartanburg! Wonderful food. Dessert was aware winning and delicious. Will definitely return again.
