The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa proudly presents The Scotch Library, which provides both enthusiasts and those new to Scotch with the opportunity to select from over 300 different labels.
Representing more than half of the operating distilleries in Scotland today
The impressive collection features over 300 single malts, 30 blends, and a number of rare bottles imported from all six whisky regions of Scotland (Speyside, Highland, Islay, Islands, Lowland and Campbeltown).
Those rare bottles include whiskies from "active," "silent," and "ghost" distilleries.
Distilleries which are still operating are considered active distilleries. Distilleries that still exist but no longer produce are silent distilleries. Among the rarest whiskies offered at The Scotch Library are from distilleries that no longer exist, called ghost distilleries.
Rounding out our exceptional collection are 3 super-limited vintage single malts: Glenfiddich 50, Balvenie 50, and Macallan 62.
Assisting guests with selections are the Scotch Library Ambassadors
Experts in the area of single malt and blend whiskies from Scotland, not only are the Ambassadors passionate Scotch consumers themselves, but they have received extensive training to prepare them for their role as Ambassadors. Served in two-ounce pours, the offerings are priced from $10 per serving to $3500 per serving for the Balvenie 50-year-old, a very rare whisky poured from one of 131 bottles existing in the world.
An Evening of Scotches
On Friday evenings at 6 pm, the resort hosts "An Evening of Scotches," a tasting event featuring three selections of Scotch whisky.
Guests will learn about the different and unique aspects of the various whiskies of Scotland, and various ways to drink Scotch. "An Evening of Scotches" is priced at $65++ per person and advance reservations are required
