   We had made reservations for 5 for Easter Brunch. Nowhere in the process were we advised it was "Buffett Only", at $75 per person. Our party had looked at the menu beforehand and had certain items and smaller quantities in mind. We did not want an expensive buffett. We chose to leave when we were advised of the "Buffett Only" option. Open Table could have been more helpful by putting that advice clearly on the reservation function menu. We haven't been to Scalos in years but our previous experiences were all good. We are unable to comment on the food currently as we did not dine there and the survey website will not complete the process without some box chosen. Do No Know/No Opinion was not an option.

   A restaurant that bears no relation to the pictures on its website. Eggs Benedict were not on English muffins but fairly ordinary toasted bread, and the eggs were overcooked. The rest of the food was mediocre at best. When I made the reservation, it appeared that I could choose between the Easter Brunch or a standard reservation. All the reservations, however, were considered Easter Brunch reservations at a fixed price of $75 per person for the worst brunch I have ever had. A "large party" service charge (for a party of two!) was added to the bill—this for essentially busboy service since you have to go get your own food. My wife and I were visitors to Albuquerque, and if we ever have the chance to return, we will certainly not visit Scalo again.

   Thank you for a wonderful birthday meal! Staff was so nice and the food was delicious.

   In the past, we were fans of Scalo and then for a long time we were disappointed ... but not this time. Our waiter was congenial and attentive, we aced the dishes we chose (the special watermelon salad, a funghi and a margarita with added sausage pizzas, and the most amazing creme brulee because of two astonishing flavorful cherries on top. By the way, I wanted my pizza served burning hot and ... it was! Everything was delicious, just as one would hope. Our timing was good - not too noisy and we always like our table by the window on Central. We plan to return and hope for another good experience so we can start having confidence that this is one of our special places to treat ourselves to on a night out.

   We had a great time - good wines - my only suggestion is to have more red than white !! Will go again!

   This was a special wine dinner with wines from Spain. This was by far the best meal I've had at Scalo. Great place, great location, and great staff!

   We've been going to Scalo for over 35 years, have never had such a bad experience before. Service was non-existent. We sat for 25 minutes without a single interaction with staff while everyone around us was being served. The wine was good and the first 2 food courses were good but not special - nice ripe watermelon and basic garlic shrimp; the paella was flavorless and mushy. Very disappointing evening.

   Went for a Spanish wine tasting dinner. Rice in the paella was absolute mush and the custard in the crème brûlée was broken and the sugar crust was gooey. Basic culinary technique was lacking - very disappointing.

    My husband and I split the appetizer of Frito misto-calamari could have been bigger, but was hot and crispy. We also split the pesto salmon and it was perfect! Plenty for the 2 of us and the vegetables were a perfect accompaniment!
