   I have dined at Scala a few dozen times and in every combination: by myself at the bar, with a buddy at the bar, with a lady friend at a table, at the pizza oven bar, with a group of people at a table, and no matter where I’ve sat or what I’ve ordered. I’ve never been disappointed. I’ve brought mostly good friends that are in the fine wine and food industry and today I brought a Cordon Bleu trained Chef, and former Restaurateur who agrees; Giovanni is an absolute rockstar when it comes to putting a restaurant together and more importantly, managing it properly and having the food be amazing. The menu is actually quite simple, but elegant. Today was a bit overcast, but it was a Saturday at 1:30 PM and the streets were busy but driving through town, my friend the chef commented how the restaurants were not doing much business and I kind of giggle to myself and thought yeah wait till you see Scala! The food comes out hot, presentation spectacular, the wine by the glass are thoughtfully placed, and oh dear, the pork chop Milanese might just win my award for best all-around entrée in town. But the service, the personality of the wait staff is all service. And that’s what makes a restaurant great; and good food and drink.

   We dined upstairs and it was a great atmosphere with moderate noise. The service is excellent and attentive. The olives fritte were delicious and the calamari one of the best we’ve ever eaten. Entrees are all very tasty and big enough for two or three people. Would definitely return again.

   The food is outstanding quality. The Veal, spicy roast chicken were our entree and beyond great. Meat was tender and flavor profiles you can tell the recipes are made with care. The staff looks happy and you are served so fast they are really well run. So happy we made a reservation here. Enjoy!

    We had a reservation at 7 on a Saturday night. Our server was in such a rush, he pushed us through our meal. We had two cocktails, an appetizer, two entrees, a glass of wine and it was 45 minutes. Seriously frustrating to spend $200 and feel pressured to leave. The food is amazing and we loved the pastas.
