Sushi master Ryuichi Nakano casts a wide net at SanKai, drawing longtime fans and welcoming newcomers to his intimate new sushi restaurant in the heart of downtown Edmonds. Enjoy our cozy dining room, omakase sushi bar, or heated outside dining in our domes.

Please note we are a small restaurant and children (babies) need to me accounted for in your reservation if you need seating/highchair. Stroller space is limited and may not always be accommodated.

    Enjoy dining in our heated outdoor domes. Each dome is heated, fully covered and comfortably seats up to five people. Please note, no pets are allowed in the domes. *Please note, we have an intimate dining room with limited seating and kindly ask that you respect the following time limits: 1 hour 45 minutes for parties of up to two; 2 hours for parties of three or more. **Although our domes our heated in the wintertime, it can still get chilly when temperatures drop! Feel free to bring a jacket or blanket to help keep you warm and cozy.

    As always this is our favorite sushi restaurant in WA (and beyond). We love everything about this spot. The quality and variety of the sushi is tops. The sushi chefs are friendly and make beautifully plated sushi and other plates. The service is excellent. Thanks again.

    Best sushi in Edmonds. Food here is always delicious and fresh. Service is wonderful and you always get friendly and efficient customer service. Our go to when we can is omakase and the best experience is at the sushi counter when you can have Chef Nakano to hand pick his favorites for you.

    We went to celebrate my friends birthday and stayed in the outdoor heated dome. It was absolutely wonderful!! We never felt like the staff was gone for too long and everyone was so friendly and kind! The sushi was incredible and didn’t break the bank. Highly recommend!!!!

    Our server and the food were wonderful! Happy hour offerings were amazing and we also loved the items on the fresh sheet. I have been here several times and have not had a disappointing experience yet!

    SanKai continues to be the best sushi restaurant in the seattle/Edmonds area Perfect rice and the freshest fish Chef Nakano can customize an amazing Omakase and will give you a truly amazing experience Highly recommended

    The food was incredibly fresh and well prepared. They had a separate menu with selections of fish they usually don't serve that caught my eye. I ordered Japanese sea urchin and young wild amberjack nigiri from that menu and they were both very fresh and delicious. Their rolls were also very good. Not too much mayo, not too salty, just right. Service is very good as well. Friendly staff, they have a great sense of when to stop by and engage, and they are knowledgeable of the menu.
