   Over 50 types of whiskey served. Many seafood options including tempura. Smallish portions. Inside dining was noisy at 7PM. Food tasted great. I would go back.

   Good was awesome, however portions ridiculously small for the price. I actually left hungry.

   Mediocre service - completely forgot about us when two tables of 6 were seated. The wind was horrible- they really should have seated us elsewhere.

   Overall this was a really good experience. We requested indoor seating and they sat us indoors. The vibe is very cool inside. Other reviewers complained about the service and the noise level, but that was not our experience at all. Our server was attentive and friendly, and he even marked all of his favorites on the menu for us. My only complaint would be that the sake options are very limited —only four options and none were exceptional. The incredibly nice family next to us gave us an unopened bottle of sake as they left (they complained that the service was slow but told us the food is the best Japanese/sushi in PS), so my advice would be to bring your own bottle and pay a corkage fee. The Sandfish roll was by far the best thing we had. The signature toro dish was $40 and just ok. I would highly suggest checking out Sandfish Sushi & Whiskey, but I’d stick to sushi rolls because that was by far the standout item we ordered.

   Both food and service was amazing. We had the nicest server. The fish was SO fresh…melted in your mouth.

   Overall, the food and drink carried the evening, so, given this was our first time at the restaurant, we will dine again at another time when the whole town is not overwhelmed with visitors. That said, while we arrived in the middle of the dinner rush, the place seemed unnecessarily chaotic and some of the staff (particularly the “host”) seemed ill-trained, and the lack of communication about what was happening was rather frustrating. Our drinks arrived 15 minutes after we’d finished our appetizers, and then the one meal from the kitchen arrived and was consumed a full 30 minutes before a runner plopped down our sushi bar dishes (2 pieces of nigiri and 2 orders of sashimi) and scurried away without comment. Given our experience, it seems that management might consider not offering a same-day 1000-pt bonus for a reservation for a table in a cargo container, when the restaurant team is destined to be overwhelmed and underperforming. We’ll give it another shot when the ratio of visitors to locals has come down, and hope that for our uneven first experience we can just blame it on Coachella.

    The best sushi ever! We spend a month in PS every year and make it a habit to dine there at least 3 times. So good! Great waitstaff.
