   The food was what I expected nothing to impressive, the waiter we had was rude and condescending, and the room had red wine stains on the wall. So overall good food, bad staff and surroundings.

   Absolutely outstanding in every way. The surroundings are stunning. The service was exceptional from the moment we walked in. The food was absolutely Devine and I would highly recommend it.

   The only good thing about the restaurant was the location and the grandeur of Swinton Park. Although the food was good but we were incredibly let down by the service, scruffy unknowledgeable staff, and the general "couldn't care less" attitude which spoilt a rather special birthday celebration. Our bill was calculated wrongly and although this was put right, we waited 30 minutes to get the bill and were left in the dining room (the only diners in there) for well over 40 minutes after our desserts without being asked if we wanted any teas/coffees. Definitely a case "of out of sight - out of mind". When we asked "how the beef was served" the response was "it comes with potatoes"!! Very very disappointed.

   Excellent upmarket restaurant in a stately home-professional service at reception,in the bar and in the magnificent restaurant Best Sunday Lunch we've had for ages and really good value. Unfortunately,they had no record of our Open Table booking,but that wasn't a problem as ,surprisingly, the restaurant wasn't busy

   Outstanding taster menu with complementary wines. Service excellent. Dining hall wonderful with views of parkland and deer.
