   The food was unreal! However they didn’t have too many staff and we were forgotten for quite a while. Ordered our drinks and didn’t receive them for over 45 minutes

   Ordered the burgers which were quite good. The fries were ok but not very crispy. The service was really bad because they only had one waitress for the whole restaurant.

   The Palihotel in DTSD is hiding a treasure ...Saint James French Diner reminds us of many of the bistros, cafés and brasseries in Paris. The menus change frequently. The menus are short, but every item on the menu is fresh, rich in both taste and technique, and deeply considered. Often, we visit a restaurant where either the cocktails are delightful and the food is disappointing or the food is delightful and the cocktails are disappointing. Not at French Diner. Both the cocktails and the food are top-tier. St. James French Diner is led by Chef Lori. I am quite certain she is a culinary genius. Her sauces belong in a Michelin-starred restaurant, and she elevates many of the French Classics effortlessly as well as having new and unusual offerings. Kalani leads the bar as a brilliant mixiologist with in-house creations ... a blackberry yuzu spritz , or a clementine Old Fashioned, both with purées, he created... He provides his take on the standards with ease,. All are well balanced, creative and clever new offerings ane precise standards. The entire staff is personality-rich and attentive. Aaron is funny and honest and gives excellent recommendations . He takes great care of everyone along with everyone on staff. We don't go to restaurants just for the food. It's for the whole experience. This is that.

   Loved my server she was super nice and she was even well aware of the dishes and what they had. The ratatouille was honestly so amazing with the Salmon 😍 it was beautifully paired. 🖤 The blush was small but a mighty drink lol 10/10 for the food, service and how fast my food came out ☺️

   I made the reservation over a week in advance for my boyfriend's birthday. We get to the restaurant and after being seated by staff, nobody ever came to take our order. After 25 minutes we just gave up and left.

   Excellent breakfast! Had the omelette, French onion soup and croque madame. All delicious! The portions are small (typically French). Also had honey butter coffee which was very tasty.

   Had a beautiful dinner there with my wife while in SanDiego. She ordered Salmon well done, I ordered Steakfrite med rare, both were cooked perfectly and my steak was so tender and delicious. We were served by Arron him and the bartender took care of the place that night and service was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant. Créeme brûlée was ok. Definitely go back.

   Has quickly become our favorite restaurant in the city. Fantastic service, outstanding food, great value in a beautiful setting. Creighton and the whole service staff strive to make your visit truly exceptional. Can’t wait to go back. Chocolate soufflé alone is worth the trip.

   Wonderful, small bistro – style restaurant in downtown San Diego. Wonderful staff, excellent food. My only complaint is they have a relatively limited wine selection.
