   Staggering bill. Really top top front of house. Great for couples. I wish someone in London would do proper Basque tapas, small plates, there would be traction. Overall we have a great first date. The main thing is that she felt special and enjoyed the whole atmosphere and service.

   We enjoyed a highly impressive and delicious lunch. The staff were super friendly and highly knowledgable. The concept is sharing plates but not necessarily tapas. With advice we shared a variety of starters and then as a group all enjoyed a 2kilo+ steak with sides. It was was cooked to perfection and the sides - even the standard green salad was delicious. The wine list is a encyclopedia and is actually quite daunting as there is too much choice but advice is on hand and our chosen Ribero del Duero Red was smooth and velvty. We visited over lunch and the restaurant was very quiet. I assume it's more of a evening place so can't comment on the atmosphere and noise but the design and feel is elegant and relaxing. We all left excited we had found (for us) a new foody hot spot. Delicious!

   The venue, staff, wine & food are all excellent but it is a pricey restaurant so more of a special occasion place than every day. I’d recommend it to any steak or wine lover. I’m keen to try the fish next time I visit. I love how they are true to their identity of supporting Basque traditions and quality of food.

   If you are looking for the ultimate steak dinner, fine wine and excellent service Sagardi is worth the visit.
