Opened in 2001 by Fernando Lopez along with his wife, Deborah, and his brother, Oscar Toledo, Sabor continues to celebrate success in a field where many restaurants do not make it past the first year mark. The brothers were born in Puerto Rico, while Deborah is originally from Cuba. Embracing their culture and its’ inherent passion for food, drink, music and service, they have created a restaurant that’s become a favorite of locals, critics and visitors alike.

The food was just average for the price. I wasn’t wowed by anything. We were disappointed with the mofongo. The mofongo was a small portion and not the typical mofongo you expect to get at most restaurants. Would most likely not go back.

I had been to Sabor Latin Bistro for the first time last year and it left an impression. I finally made plans to have dinner there and me and my friend were not disappointed. We raved about it the entire weekend. We reserved seats but we showed up quite early and they were more than happy to seat us right away. Great service, delicious food and a nice ambiance, a nice night out.

This restaurant offer a fusion on Latin food. The food is good. I have known this place for many years but only began dining recently. The times when we dined there in the summer we had a really nice waiter but for my birthday celebration the waiter we had rushed us through the entire meal. Additionally, the bottle of champagne we ordered was flat and no apology was extended while we were still charged for it.

I ordered the Churrasco medium well, it was tough, dry and hardly seasoned. My girlfriend got the stuffed shrimp and she have had better. Go somewhere else for dinner and come to Sabor for the ambience, drinks and music!
