   I want this restaurant to be great! We spend May to October in the area and eat out a lot of the time. Love the building - old restored, wood floors, exposed brick walls, charming. It's not the best location, but if you're exceptional, people will come (look at Paisainos in Richmond). I ordered the salmon - was rather dry and needed sauce. Same with my husbands Trout. BUT, the real killer to the evening was the Kettle One drink my husband ordered - it was a tiny glass, filled with ice and what looked to be about 2 tablespoons of vodka. For $9.00!! Our female server was outstanding - very efficient and so friendly. This could be an exceptional place - if they can last that long.

   The restaurant interior is quite nice, the service was good and the hostess was lovely at her job. The disappointment was in the food other than the trout (which was very good). Sadly, they ran out of salmon by 7pm on a Saturday night. My son ordered a pasta dish instead and said it was flavorless. The chicken dish was fine. The wine list could use some tweaking. The star was the trout my husband ordered and he enjoyed some muscles from the small plates menu. That is my recommendation for future visits. Order from the small plates menu (very tasty chicken wings too) and sit in the beautiful bar area - beer and fish in Wisconsin works.

   FRESH ! Clean simple green atmosphere. Bacon wrapped scallops, shrimp apps were accompanied by knowledgeable recipes of great sauce accompaniments. Trout was incredible! Sides were great too, haricots vert with just a kiss of garlic, potato pancakes, a little overdone but flavorful. Compliments on fresh salad dressings, such an accent to healthy greens! The server needs memory lessons but very personable. I'll be back when I am in the area again.

   Made a reservation for Dinner on a Saturday night but was unnecessary, as it wasn’t even half full. It took quite a long time for the trout to be served when there were only a few tables occupied. Trout portions were small and very thin, especially for the price. Good food, all considered.

   Every time we have eaten at Trout House Delavan, we have LOVED the food. It's always creative and freshly flavorful. Anything with their trout is great, but the current filet medallions are excellent as well. The service was a little rushed, but we found out there had been a medical situation (older man passed out and fell) and knowing that, the service was really great -- they just seemed a little rattled. They are always very friendly and upbeat. Be sure you try the smoked trout brushetta! And they make a great Old Fashioned!

   Four of us had a great time at Rushing Waters Trout House in Delavan. The food was excellent, and our server could not have been any nicer. Highly recommended.

    Updated modern interior with a very clean look. Provided healthy entree choices. Had some interesting drink selections, as well. Great dining experience.
