   Fabulous skinny margaritas and the queso and chips were so yummy!!!! Great service and great drinks made for a fabulous evening with friends.

   The drinks were great, staff was friendly, atmosphere was fun. However, we had to ask for someone to serve us after being seated for 20 minutes. Appetizers were delicious (we got the trio of dips). Entrees were just okay and it took us an hour to get them. Quesadilla and burrito were pretty basic, nothing special considering they were $12-$14. Not expensive for the area but a Taco Bell steak quesadilla has more flavor. They were very considerate and comped the appetizer because of the wait without us even asking. Just not the type of experience I would recommend to a friend considering the great dining options available in Charleston. I would go back to the bar for the jalapeno-cucumber cocktail though!

   Showed up with reservations. Seated 30mins late. Took 40 mins even get appetizers so we didn’t even order entrees. Won’t be back.

   We went on Valentines Day and it was absolutely packed. Despite this, the servers and hostesses were so nice to us and made sure our experience was excellent. While things were a little backed up in the kitchen (presumably b/c of the restaurant being basically at capacity), the food was excellent. The guac and the queso were probably the best I’ve ever had and those didn’t even compare to our entrees. 10/10 would recommend to anyone in Charleston.

   Had a reservation on Valentine's at 8p. Told 8 other couples ahead. Got Fake Chow and a margarita with chips and red salsa at the bar. Chow was awful, but margarita and salsa good. Finally seated at 8:40 at table by door. After 15 minutes because we had drinks and chips, asked hostess to send a waiter. Nice guy who had been there a week knew very little about the menu. Ordered tacos and white beans. After almost 30 minutes, manager came and apologized and offered guacamole on the house. We passed. Finally, food came. Shrimp tacos were great and wife enjoyed the veggie and white beans. Tuna taco was bland. I trust with V day, they weren't on their game. Disappointing.

   We ate at Ruru’s for Valentine’s dinner. We chose it because it had availability at the time we needed to fit our schedule of other events for that night. It was an utter disappointment. Upon our arrival, the hostess went to clean off our table and then tried to seat another group there before us. After being seated, our server did not greet us for several minutes. Once we were able to order, it took a very long time to get our food, which was overcooked and rubbery. My shrimp taco had only 2 shrimp and did not have the correct other ingredients. The restaurant is extremely loud, which makes it difficult to hold a conversation. Overall, we felt the service was terrible, the food was poor quality and overpriced, and the ambiance was lacking. The only positive I can share is that they have lots of available reservation times on OpenTable, which seems to be a rarity in Charleston. In the future, if it was the only restaurant with a time available when we needed it, we’d opt for sandwiches from the grocery store or fast food rather than returning.

   Crowded popular place with young people. Our service was fine but the tacos were mediocre at best. At least it was inexpensive otherwise I would be pretty irritated
