   Went to RPM Seafood for a business dinner with four guys. For the positives… We had a shrimp cocktail, hamachi roll, salmon sashimi, and grilled octopus and all were great. Two of the guests had the black cod and I had the wagyu NY strip which was outstanding. Mushrooms, broccolini, and crispy potato sides were all great as well. As were the drinks. For the negatives… the service was hit or miss throughout the night. The server was very good but then inexplicably would disappear for long periods. He never asked if we had dined at the restaurant before (we had not). He never explained the menu or made recommendations. He never came by the table after the entrees were served. He was generally slow in taking orders, getting drinks, following up, etc. The restaurant has club music playing. Not exactly the vibe we were looking. I appreciate it’s a seafood restaurant and not a classic steakhouse but at that price point, I expect something more refined. Finally, the restaurant charges a 3.5% surcharge for employees. Not explained or anything, just right there on the bill. Overall the food was great but will definitely not be going back. Too many other great restaurants in the city to enjoy.

   We got married at RPM Events last year, and we were so excited to celebrate our first wedding anniversary at RPM Seafood. From the moment we arrived, Jason, the manager, went above and beyond to make the night very special and memorable for us. He even helped us recreate some of the magic from our wedding day by letting us relive our first dance in their event space. We’re incredibly thankful to Jason and the entire team for making us feel so celebrated.

   The food was good. Natalie was GREAT! I'm not sure we liked that security kept his eyes on our table.

   Fabulous dinner. The patio is Chicago at its finest. Fresh seafood as if you’re on the coast.

   Great spot for our anniversary! Our server Francis (Franny, Fran, Frank) knock it out of the park. We will definitely be coming back here to n a regular basis. Awesome!!!

   6 years of coming here and I am fully prepared to say the food is hilariously overpriced and truly subpar. Undercooked lobster, forgettable sushi, dry rice/fried rice, inauthentic pasta…not to mention an abomination of a Greek salad: two cucumber slices, disgusting transparent American sour tomatoes, zero lettuce, feta that is clearly old. You can do better for how much you charge. This is 6 years of built up frustration with your food- zero change. But hey at least your cocktails are excellent to distract us. The only thing right is your hiring process because your employees are amazing.

    I called a day before and asked about the caviar service on the happy hour… the manager told me it was 2oz for $75 … when went there .. valet told me $20 for 3 hours… service was awesome .. food ok … caviar was 1 oz instead of 2oz like he sair ( it is same amount as regular price… it was not) valet tried to charge me $25 who I is for 3 hours or more… I stayed 2 hours and half and he charged me $21 .. when I later saw on my card … I really don’t like when people lie to me… tell me what’s the deal and if I want I go.. but try to fool people is not nice at all… not coming back and spreading the news definitely.. be honest please
