   This place should be advertised as a bar- not a proper dinner spot. As a bad, not bad at all. But the menu is garbage bar food. It’s not a dinner spot, it’s not a new-to-the-scene-meal spot. Don’t advertise it like that. It’s a bar that’s got some food. Nothing more.

   Visited for happy hour on a rainy Thursday night. Our bartender was 100% awesome, the rest of the staff was as well. We were greeted at the door with a warm welcome. The food was delicious. We had calamari, and the wings with hot honey sauce from the happy hour menu. We had orange tea shots and royal transfusion cocktails, very tasty. I've been here a few times, I will be back a few more for sure.

   Our server was great. However the food was slow to arrive and mediocre. Would recommend for a place to grab drinks before or after a game. Don't go for the food, you'll be disappointed.

   After hearing about it from a friend, this was my first time at Royal Sands. I was in Navy Yard for the Nationals Game and wanted to grab some lunch before so thought I'd stop by. Overall the ambiance on the first floor had more bar vibe over lunch; granted, I attribute that to the game which altered the experience. The food was pretty good and the value of the bottomless drink was very fair in my opinion compared to other bottomless options in DC. Would try again for happy hour but not really a lunch/sit down type of environment.

   Went in on a busy Wednesday night and they had a booth ready for us. Very sweet and attentive bartenders, good drinks, and food so good that my friend ordered two entrees.

   The noise level was NOT energetic. The music was way too loud for a place that was completely empty on a Friday night. When trying to book a reservation they only had limited options but we get there and there are only two people at the bar but yet they had the music on like it was a popping club. We asked to have it turned down and they did but then they slowly upped it again despite the place still being empty. We left instead of getting more food and drinks. You’re better off next door at either Mission or Gatsby’s. Better vibes and you’ll be able to hear the people you’re with. This place is not worth it.

   Great atmosphere- feels like poolside in Florida. Friendly staff and vibrant bar scene. The food was better than expected since this is more of a bar scene. A DJ started during brunch and was really good

   I went for the first time for brunch with my friends. The entire restaurant is a whole vibe. I didn’t know if I wanted to swim or dance. The food omg the food was so good and everything came out piping hot 👌🏽. Our waitress Abby was so fun, sweet, attentive and energy out of this world. Will definitely be back again and again and again.

   Brunch menu has a lot of “rules” - drinks are pre mixed (watered down) except the mimosas, that was a lot of champagne and a little orange juice. Happy Hour menu is cool. Just need more food choices. Brunch Food that was ordered was SO on point and delicious !!!! Wings, chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits were Delicious !!!!! The music/ambiance/ decor is great !!! Wonderful service by waitress and the people who bus the tables, and being out your food! Nice vibe.

    The Royal Sands has a cool vibe. The food was good, we had the pineapple guacamole, seafood cobb salad and the potstickers. I cocktails were good, however overpriced for the small size.
