   Rosebud Steakhouse in Wheeling is an elegant, high-end restaurant with a great wait staff and delicious food. We've dined there twice, each time ordering filets, which were done perfectly and were as tender as soft butter. The asparagus was also perfectly done--tender, crisp (not overcooked), and the order was enough for two people. The wine list is excellent and even though the wines-by-the-glass are limited in number, the selections are brilliantly chosen. The noise level is moderate. We loved the ambience. If you come in the early evening, the restaurant has a lot of natural light which makes the dining experience similar to taking a meal on a sunlit patio with perfect air temperatures and no wind. Rosebud Steakhouse is fairly expensive, but you get what you pay for. It has become a regular stop on our dining tours.

   Great server, staff seemed supportive of each other. Food was delicious. Shrimp cocktail a bit overpriced three for 27 bucks won’t be getting that again. Tots are outstanding as well as the carbonara sauce. I always get the chopped sirloin it’s always outstanding

   Overall, it was a nice experience but unfortunately my dates meal was way overcooked and while waiting for a different meal to be prepared, I had to eat alone. The server and manager were very accommodating but the fact that we weren’t able to dine together was not a nice experience. Both the server and manager were very apologetic and we weren’t charged for his meals, but it soured my dates first visit to the restaurant. He did enjoy the meal when we got home since it took so long for them to prepare the alternative dish that we took it to go.

   We went here for my birthday. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The front desk is in a weird location - I mean its right when you walk in, but you can't fit more then two parties between it and the door. Then there is a booth right when you turn right - its a horrible location. No one will want to sit there with the entrance two feet away. We didn't sit in that badly located booth, we were sat in a booth facing out towards the floor to ceiling windows. Gorgeous! So bright and open. It felt like you were outside, but without the bugs. When evening came though the lights were so dim it was hard to see. It felt like we were out on a patio. Maybe that was the point. The food was fantastic. Spaghetti with meatballs and tri-tip medallions. We had a chopped salad and steak fries before our meal. Both were really good. The salad is a bit unique, but delicious. They gave me a free dessert for my birthday which is always appreciated. I should have ordered a coffee, but I forgot and it wasn't offered. We received Rose Bud gift cards awhile back and wanted to use them, but this Rose Bud is not the same Rose Bud in the city or Deerfield. Disappointing. Now we need to go to the one in Deerfield soon. Again, staff was friendly and chatted with us - made us feel like we all were friends.

   Truthfully more stars are needed here! It's way more than 5! An exceptional experience all around from the warm greeting on arrival from both the manager Andrea and our server Silvio. The food was exceptional in every way. Have never tasted better beef. Had not expected that level of experience and we are so glad to have found it!

    Excellent food. They are still new and you can tell that most of the server staff is still learning how to work in a find dining establishment. Just little things that experienced staff does. However, I will definitely go again!
