Root Down and the Edible Beats Family (Root Down, Linger, Vital Root & El Five) are very grateful to welcome you to our restaurant.

Our menu features eclectic, globally-influenced seasonal cuisine, with a focus on organic, natural and locally-sourced ingredients.

Our interior dining space has the classic vibe of a neighborhood restaurant, while our large main patio offers picturesque views of the near neighborhood and downtown skyline.

Reservations are available online at ediblebeats.com, as well as OpenTable. We happily accept walk-ins as availability allows.

Our space is available for private events year round, please inquire with us directly for information.

Please be aware we are located in a residential area, and parking is available in the near neighborhood, along with a small paid-lot located directly across the street from our location.

    My wife and I’s favorite veggie burger in town. Bummed that they switched from sweet potatoes fries to tots, but still a great meal.

    First time visit. The wife and I loved the funky vibe and were warmly greeted by staff. Cocktails were excellent. Food was a tremendous disappointment. Flavor profiles were just…off. We tried Risotto, Lamb sliders and arepas. None of them were tasty or as expected. We had heard a lot of good things about Root Down, but we won’t be back.

    I have always loved Root Down but this brunch was really wonderful. I had the mushrooms and herb omelette. I asked our waitress if the mushrooms were sautéed prior to putting in the omelette. She was great at explaining to me how they made it and she told me it was her favorite. She did not over sell it. It was truly one of the best omelettes I've ever had. I wish I could remember our waitress's name because I wish I could give her credit due. I must admit it was a little slow there which I have never seen. It was a little on the quiet side but I still felt like she was very attentive. I am looking forward to going back!

    I again had a great dinner at Root Down. We sat on the covered patio, which was comfortable even though it was hot outside and was perfect for conversation. My friend and I both had the Sunday prix fixe dinner, a great value - I had the beet salad and pan roasted chicken, both delicious. Since I had put it on the Open Table app, everyone at the restaurant wished my friend happy birthday.

    Root down just isn’t what it used to be. The one at the airport has better food. The restaurant was half full and it took more than 45 minutes for our food to arrive. We ordered the risotto

    Excellent as always. Enjoyed eating on the patio. If it has just rained, the tables on the edge can get dripped on from roof, but are amazing otherwise. We always stick to sharing the small plates, which are always great. Love dining here.

    As always, Root Down is a delightful occasion. The Rock Fish and Lamb Sliders are amazing. And not to miss is the Banana Cream Pie. Enjoy sitting outdoors on a covered patio with green bamboo and the smell of rain pattering. Always excellent service.
