I have been going to Romanos macaroni Grill for over 20 years now. Went with a friend that I bragged about the service. What happened to this place? It was empty. Saw the crayons on the table and told my friend the waiter would come right his name upside down on the table. Not! The waiters used to wear black pants with white shirt and a colorful tie. Not! It appeared they only had one server that spoke to us from behind the bar, rather than coming to the table. The bread used to come to the table hot and fresh that you can tear with your hands. We had to use a knife. What happened to the customer experience? I must say, the food was cooked exceptionally. I always get the penne rustica it was everything I wanted and expected. Bring back the customer experience and I will drive up there all the time. We no longer have a Romanos macaroni grill in San Diego county

we went for buy one, get one lasagna night and it was fabulous! generous portions, we took enough home for lunch the next day! Caesar salad is always excellent, love the bread, too....the house red and white wines by the glass were superb! we will be back again!

We invited the in-laws to meet us for lunch at Romano's Macaroni Grill. We had never eaten there before, so had our fingers crossed. They were short-staffed and the GM was the chef! The food turned out to be wonderful and our service was great. The greeter/waiter was funny and welcoming. I would recommend them without reservation (no pun intended!). The in-laws were well-pleased.

Great value and delicious food. I feel like the hostess wasn’t aware of our reservation (Sunday lunch) but the restaurant wasn’t busy so it was no problem to get a table for our party.

Waitress was great. Food not so much. Macaroni grill used to be our favorite place but it gets worse each time we go. It also smelled of sewer inside. Gross. Mostly likely our last time going.

Everytime I come here i’m blown away by the taste of the food! They also have crayons so you can color on the paper table covers. so cute!

Despite making a reservation, we were told there would be an hour+ wait because the restaurant was overbooked and understaffed for the Mother’s Day holiday. After waiting in the bar we were seated and told by the server that it would be another 45 minutes for food to come out. We left and had lunch at The Goat & Vine instead.

We had reservations, but we’re told that we had to wait an additional 30 minutes because the kitchen was behind. When we waited the extra time, we were seated, but then we’re told that our meal would take an extra hour. Not too happy.
