   A little disappointing, not as good as the old Asa. Came for our anniversary, but don’t think the host/owner even looked at our OpenTable reservation. Most places will at least say Happy Anniversary and some even offer a complimentary sparkling wine or a dessert to mark the occasion, but nothing here. The short rib adobo pasta was “still being cooked” at 6:45pm so wasn’t available to order (it’s one thing if it’s sold out, but how can you have something on the menu that’s still being cooked and not ready to serve!). Also, the pistachio pana cotta dessert wasn’t available. Ordered the pork chop in the end and it wasn’t fully cooked through (actually was still raw along the bone, but the rest was fine). For $48 though they really should include some vegetables or potatoes with the chop, not just an arugula salad. Used to be a regular at Asa and this was third time coming to Roja since they bought out the previous owner. Will probably be a long while before going back to Roja.

   We really enjoyed our experience at Roja. The service was great. They have a good cocktail menu and decent wine list. Lots of great vegetarian options on the menu. The spicy pasta, smoky cauliflower, leek marrow dishes were exceptionally delicious. The bread pudding and pistachio panna cotta were some of the best desserts I’ve had.

   Best fine dining in Downtown Los Altos. From ambience to the food to the wine list . Staff are friendly and accommodating.

   Love this place, the menu changes with the seasons. Food delish. Service is excellent. Always festive. My favorite place to go.

   First time at Roja. Used to go to the previous restaurant Asa. We sat outside on a beautiful night. The service was amazing. When the server was busy the owner stepped in. He was gracious and thoughtful and made the best drinks. The server was informative and had great timing. When we didn’t like the entree we ordered the owner took it off the bill and allowed us to order another without complaining. The food overall was excellent. Food bites to share! I will definitely go back!

   Great food, especially arrabbiata, and wines. We got Aubert sonoma, which was great condition. We used decanter for the wine.
