Ramen (ラーメン rāmen, ɽäꜜmeɴ]) is a Japanese noodle soup dish. It consists of wavy wheat noodles served in a meat or (occasionally) Chicken-based broth, often flavored with soy sauce or miso, and uses toppings such as sliced pork (チャーシュー chāshū), Oxtail, dried seaweed (海苔 nori), kamaboko, and green onions. Nearly every region in Japan has its own variation of ramen, from the tonkotsu (pork bone broth) ramen of Kyushu to the miso ramen of Hokkaido. Now we have Ramen in Westchester's New Rochelle "Roc N Ramen"!!

We serve the finest ramen noodle dishes at fair prices. We also have the finest sake and tea to compliment your meal. Additionally we serve Organic, Vegetarian, and Gluten free options!

Roc N Ramen is more than just a great meal. I was born and raised in Nigeria and swear the oxtail comes from down the street from where I grew up and was cut, cooked, and seasoned by my grandmother. The BBQ chicken ramen comes with a beautiful variety of colors, flavors and textures with attention to detail refined enough that the sinus and tendons of the meat have been excluded so all you get is the slow cooked, rich, balanced flavor and texture that you'd expect from a restaurant charging $40 per plate; Roc N Ramen instead fits in your price range for lunch or dinner on a nice night or casual outing with friends, all that paired with an awesome, well thought out variety of beers on tap. The owner, by the way, should seriously be running for mayor. He knows his regulars and on the occasion that he's sitting at the outdoor tables, knows 3/5 people walking by on a first name basis. He'll offer sincere, warm and welcomed conversation on everything from parking advice to which new apartment buildings the new people in town (my wife and I) should check out. He has an amazing charisma and treats his guests like family while treating his food like an art. Roc N Ramen is a personality as well as a restaurant, and the type that will have you coming back again and again.

I had a terrible experience with Roc n Ramen....not once, but twice. They're almost always out of some of their menu items. If they know a lot of customers enjoy their meals, why don't they provide more food?? I went there once, they were out of the Oxtail ramen....I went there a 2nd time....months later.... mind you, this time i called beforehand, to confirm if they had it....and they said yes.....Only to drive 30 minutes to get there....and they tell me they're out again. It's unbelievable. The manager was of no help....giving me flimsy excuses why they were out....not believing that i had called before coming....and then resorting to offering us a 50% discount for the inconvenience....how does that solve the fact that you don't have what i drove there for....what does he expect me to order with the 50% off. Do not waste your time traveling to go there. The hype isn't all that great with such customer service. I would not be going there again. Find yourself a better ramen spot.

Sigh.. I was really hoping they would have decent ramen here.. Alas, we were sorely disappointed. We came here for dinner before the movies and the place was pretty busy for a weeknight. We did make reservations so we quickly got seats at the bar. I ordered the jerk chicken ramen and my fiance got the more traditional tonkotsu ramen. The jerk chicken ramen was quite flavorful but the noodles were overcooked. As for the tonkotsu ramen.. It pales in comparison to most traditional tonkotsu broths out there. Tonkotsu is supposed to be a full flavored, umami rich broth. And a good bowl of ramen needs to have a solid broth that can stand on its own, great noodles with texture and cooked just right so as not to get soggy while you eat, and a delightful combination of toppings to pull it all together. Sadly, while Roc N Ramen gets points for effort with their creative jerk chicken ramen they fail overall since they first need to get the key components of what makes a good ramen bowl right.

Let me start with a disclaimer: I've had top of the line Ramen and comparing anything to it really makes it difficult to give top of the line ratings to the competition. I would say based on that line of Ramen, this is "good" ramen but not your authentic stuff served at places like Ippudo in NYC. We had Shoysu and traditional ramen and the traditional one was watery, the Shoysu had some decent flavor. The pork was a bit on the harder end and overall it was ok. Where they really stand out is service, and noise level. It was very casual and we were attended to well. Location is also convenient right across from New Roc City. The owner/manager is very involved, he's a 5 star owner.

We went to Roc-N-Ramen looking for something different and were very happy with our choice. The vegetarian among us enjoyed the veggie ramen, while another friend and I got the chicken curry ramen which was very good. All the dishes had plenty of noodles, vegetables, broth and in the case of the chicken, meat. The service was super friendly and accommodating although we did have to ask for our tea after it was ordered. We will definitely be back.

They never got my open table reservation, even though I had the confirmation email. Most of the items I ordered were unavailable. They were out of bean sprouts, their fryer was broken, and they had no working ice cream scoop. As a ramen officianado and Asian, the buns were good, but the ramen was so-so. The broth wasn't as flavorful as it should have been.

The service was great. The food came out really quickly. The pork dumpling appetizer was a little salty. The ramen was good but not as tasty as the kind you find in NYC. Still really good though.

Shoyu ramen was great. Only downside was there was an extremely long wait. Apparently Sundays are hit or miss with the crowds.

Food was absolutely delicious with very good prices. I highly recommend the pork buns and for dessert the Mia Special. I love the special ramens they have such as the Curry Chicken Ramen and the Ramen burger was great! Service is always friendly. One of my new favorite places!
