   Great spot. Didn't realize we had such a great middle eastern restaurant right under our noise. Not only has great food, but waitress was adorable, smart, and sweet. Really enjoyed it and will definitely be back again and again.

   We were the only customers in the restaurant. The owner met us outside and asked if we were coming for "excellent dining". We never saw him again. Some customers were outside and waitress was the only staff member running around trying to handle it all on her own. We love Mediterranean food and this was very disappointing. The salmon was not as moist as it should have been and a much smaller portion for the excessive price. Was at the pool at my hotel with several locals who also agreed that this restaurant is not worth going to a second time.

   We dined here on a warm summer night last week. We got a table outside - they had umbrellas set up and it was very comfortable. It is BYOB, which we did not know ahead of time, but there is a liquor store next door so my husband went and got a bottle of chilled wine for us. I ordered the Mediterranean Platter and my husband got the lamb gyro platter. I loved my meal - it was a little of everything: tabouleh, hummus, salad, cigars, and babaganoush. Everything on the plate was excellent! My husband was not as pleased with his meal. The menu said the gyro would have shaved lamb, so we thought it would be the same as other places that serve gyros where they shave the meat off a big block of processed meat. However, the lamb was chunks of lamb meat instead. My husband found the meat chewy and did not really enjoy it. The service was fantastic though and we will definitely be back (my husband will order something different). Overall, a really great place to eat!!

   If you like Middle Eastern food, this is a great place for you. Khaled, the owner, is a really nice guy and an excellent chef. There are many excellent dishes. Our recent favorite is their Cod. Prepare very nicely with rice and eggplant.

   The food was great (as usual). The level of attention from chef/owner makes you feel special. I consider this the best Mediterranean place in the Greater Hartford/New Haven area and one of the best I ever tried.

   What a find in the Farmington valley, a truly excellent Middle Eastern restaurant. Grape leaves and tabouli are as good as you will find anywhere.

   Visited River's Edge on Mother's Day and it did not disappoint. The food was very fresh. You could taste and smell the fresh and unique ingredients instantly. It is not an overly fancy spot but it was perfect for our family. I wish there was more variety in dining experiences in Farmington Valley without having to go into Hartford or West Hartford. But this place is a good start. The host was so friendly and eager to please. The food may not be everyone's cup of tea but for a unique experience in an area that is just starting to come out of its shell food-wise, give it a chance, There is a liquor store next door if wine or other libations make your meals even better. Enjoy.
