   Food was very good. I had pasta primavera, and my husband had the pork. The drinks were also good. We had a very nice young server who did not hurry us. We had dinner with friends whom we hadn't seen in over 6 months, so we had a lot to talk about, and our server let us sit and sit. A very nice dining experience.

   Never disappointed by Olivio. Attentive but not intrusive service and the highest quality of food. Varied menu and nice selection of wine.

   20% tip mandatory on groups of 6+. That's higher than typical elsewhere of 18% for groups, but I knew this in advance, so no gripe. When bill arrived 20% had been charged not only on food and bev, but also on top of tax! Was told "that's how the computer does it"--um, no, that's called gouging customers. If baseline service had been at 20% quality, a few extra bucks would have been fine. I'm happy to tip very well for great service. But service was not even 20% level. Very pleasant, but not expert. Repeat requests for things, plus salads brought WAY in advance of any hot appetizers, etc. Awkward. Been taken here a few times with a good friend who is a big fan; food generally good, but we shall give this place a little rest.

   I have eaten here often, and always had great service. Sat. 5/5 I had a 7pm reservation for my favorite table. I checked in with the maitre d' 10 mins before 7. I went outside to wait for 2 friends. 5 min. later, we went inside. THE MAITRE D' SAT ANOTHER PARTY AT OUR RESERVED TABLE!!! His only explanation was "they came in." We were outraged! He did nothing, and there was only one table left. We did not get menus or water for almost 20 mins. We waited 20 mins. for our entrees. And he did not even offer us free dessert. WHY WOULD A HOSPITALITY EMPLOYEE BE SO INHOSPITABLE?? The worst treatment I have ever had, and I eat out at many places. Totally unforgivable, rude, unprofessional. If he worked for me, he'd be fired on the spot.

   To me, Olivio's truly is a "neighborhood gem". The service is great, and I've never had a bad meal there. The staff is very friendly and accommodating but not intrusive. Whenever I'm planning to go out to dinner, Olivio's is at the top of my list of recommendations!

   We thought we had found all the best neighborhood restaurants in part of the burbs then here is one that has been around for a long time that somehow we missed.What others apparently have known for a long time we discovered. Great service, great food, generous portions at a reasonable price.

    My girlfriend loves this place in Arlington Center so we dined there for her birthday. For me, a first-time visitor, it was only "just OK". I thought it was expensive - $70 for two people before tip, with only one beer consumed and no desserts. The food was good but there was no "wow" factor. The bread was too hard and our waitress removed it from the table before we were finished with it. Finally, you're forced to find on-street parking in busy Arlington Center. Overall, I was underwhelmed and feel there are better Italian food values in the Metrowest area.
