This is your classic, everyday neighborhood French bistro run by Chef Paul Magu-Lecugy & his wife, Laura. That kind of cozy little place you’d imagine in Saint Michel or Saint Germain. Not smack dab in the middle of the 'burbs. But lucky for you, that’s exactly where 5-star chef Paul Magu will be paying homage to the French comfort food that he fell in love with as a boy growing up in Paris. France comes to the east bay! Kir Royal was sparkling fun along with a chicken liver mousse. Elegant serving of mussels and frites. Wonderful service made for a fine evening.

Reve is a local institution. We have the privilege of moving into the neighborhood a month before Reve did, so we always feel it is extra special. Our kids have literally grown up with it. It's a place to celebrate special events. It's our local taste of Paris (or Annecy, and certainly quite a bit of Loire Valley). Food is always delicious, wine choices are impeccable, and the service is top notch.

During my anniversary dinner with my fiance, we enjoyed several meal that were fantastic. I ordered the artichoke dip for the table. It was delicious but even better with the free bread. My lady ordered the scallops over greeen risotto , succulent. I ordered the pork chop and it was very juicy. I love the place and the servers. Big compliments to the chef. I love the hood. So, appreciate you bringing French cuisine to it.

Reve Bistro is the best dining experience in the Bay Area. The staff are dedicated to the highest quality of service. Chef Paul brings his best every day and sources his ingredients thoughtfully from local farms. I go to Reve when I want a life-affirming experience.
