I had a six-course special for my wife's birthday. The service, food, and flavors reminded me of New York, which is something I don't get in this area.

The big disappointment here was the food. The steak was just grilled steak with a small amount of peppercorn sauce on the side. The. Coq au vin was not a Coq au vin in any recognizable way and was a tiny portion and wasn’t very good. The drinks were good and our waiter, Smooth, was great but the food was ok at best and not worth the price. We did the à la carte menu to see how the food was before. We came back for the tasting menu option, but now we won’t be coming back. oh and why would you wait until we were completely finished with our meal and food cleared to tell us that the dessert that we came in for, the chocolate soufflé would take 40 minutes to prepare?!

This has become my "go-to" spot, as you see from multiple reviews... lol. I reserve, it sends me a request for review. Friday Chef rolled out two new dishes to surprise us, and did not disappoint. My new fav on the 10-course menu is an onion 'soup' dish that is not soup at all! 'Foamed' 'torched' cheese, caramelized onions, croutons from his own sourdough bread. You know how other onion 'soup' is annoying to eat? Not this one. Fabulous. I have no idea how to pronounce what he named it, but I'm going to ask for it again. I started outside on the patio with a glass of wine, waiting for my table reservation, wine was excellent quality. As others arrived, I migrated inside. Bartender asked what type of drink I'd like, I described 'tart, summer, thirsty.' She created something I asked her to remember for me, it was great. Group sitting next to me were raving about the wines from France, and you could hear them losing their minds on the caviar and later the souffle... As a result of their comments, I asked where they were from, answer, "Nashville, but we travel all over the world, just got back from Japan....we've eaten fantastic food all over the world. This is NEXT LEVEL." Conversations start, we meet new friends. We had a great time. As I was leaving, more people were arriving, late, people I knew, more party, stayed longer. This was a very quiet spot the first few weeks, no one knew it was there. Now it has become that 'meet us there' place. Extremely clean, extremely talented, all new design, gorgeous digs, physically comfortable and classy, but comfortably fun. I haven't chosen any other location for more than a month. Anyone asks me to go somewhere else, I usually ask them to change their minds... lol. You can't get this anywhere else.

The food was just okay in the 6 course tasting. Nothing distinctly French. Was hoping to be wowed and we were not. Beautiful setting.

This was an amazing experience. We did the six course meal and it was delicious. The staff was very knowledgeable of the dishes that were served and friendly. I would definitely recommend this location.

I try to get something different each time. The twist on Coq au Vin was excellent, and the gougeres were addictive. Front dining room was full, still not too noisy, sat on the window, watched the people, heard many more stories. Amazing food, great service.

Had a la carte items, was very fast service, very inexpensive. Was in/out, less than an hour, as a "walk in." Might be our new "after office" quick eats. They have "tasting menus," 10 courses that really turns into 12-13, with Chef's "unexpected" items. We've done that experience, it's fun, relaxed evening, batch of friends around big table in the front dining room. But just walk in from the courtyard, get the a la carte menu, awesome. Bar Tender is as good as the Chef with her creations. She was manually squeezing fresh citrus for drinks! My new obsession is the drink with monogrammed ice cubes... who does that???

Great experience at Rêve. It was a tough choice between the a la carte menu and a tasting menu for the first visit but ultimately we had to try their versions of the French staples on the a la carte menu. Smoov and the staff were top notch. We wanted to try a bit of everything on the menu and save room for dessert but had to tap out after a few starters and halfway through the steak and white asparagus. The portion sizes did not disappoint. We will be back for the tasting menus.
