This has become my "go-to" spot, as you see from multiple reviews... lol. I reserve, it sends me a request for review.
Friday Chef rolled out two new dishes to surprise us, and did not disappoint. My new fav on the 10-course menu is an onion 'soup' dish that is not soup at all! 'Foamed' 'torched' cheese, caramelized onions, croutons from his own sourdough bread. You know how other onion 'soup' is annoying to eat? Not this one. Fabulous. I have no idea how to pronounce what he named it, but I'm going to ask for it again.
I started outside on the patio with a glass of wine, waiting for my table reservation, wine was excellent quality. As others arrived, I migrated inside. Bartender asked what type of drink I'd like, I described 'tart, summer, thirsty.' She created something I asked her to remember for me, it was great.
Group sitting next to me were raving about the wines from France, and you could hear them losing their minds on the caviar and later the souffle... As a result of their comments, I asked where they were from, answer, "Nashville, but we travel all over the world, just got back from Japan....we've eaten fantastic food all over the world. This is NEXT LEVEL." Conversations start, we meet new friends. We had a great time. As I was leaving, more people were arriving, late, people I knew, more party, stayed longer.
This was a very quiet spot the first few weeks, no one knew it was there. Now it has become that 'meet us there' place.
Extremely clean, extremely talented, all new design, gorgeous digs, physically comfortable and classy, but comfortably fun.
I haven't chosen any other location for more than a month. Anyone asks me to go somewhere else, I usually ask them to change their minds... lol. You can't get this anywhere else.
