   Overall was a lovely evening, food was lovely and staff were brill. The only criticism I have is the noise volume, it was very loud, at times I felt as though we were sat at a football match as some tables were chanting happy birthday as opposed to singing it, I imagined it would be quieter than this with the name of the restaurant being Retreat. My husband and I had to lean across the table to hear each other speak. But other than that a lovely evening.

   After trying Retreat's other restaurant at Chorley New Road, Bolton we decided to try this new acquisition of theirs and for us, we preferred the quirky style of the restaurant on two levels. We used to go there when it was Shadus, Indian Restaurant. Retreat has certainly spent a lot of the furnishing and décor and is very comfortable inside. For those people who may have trouble walking upstairs, I would request a ground floor table as dining on both levels.

   I believe the restaurant surroundings and bar makes the place look nicer than it is. It feels like due to this they believe they can charge extra. I thought the meal was average and the fee charged for the meal and drinks didn't match up to what I had. Another problem I have we restaurants such as these is that they believe the can charge cocktail bar prices. I'm happy to pay £7 for a cocktail on a night out at a swanky bare however £7 mid-week just seems a tad extortionate if you ask me.

   As always the service and food were both exceptional. I would highly recommend the Retreat Adlington for any occasion if you like good food and excellent friendly service, and who doesn't.

   Had yet another fantastic evening at The Retreat Adlington. Staff super friendly, standard and quality of food consistently high on each occasion we have visited. Ambience very upmarket. Thoroughly enjoyable and looking forward to visiting very soon.

   Excellent restaurant. We have been there five or six times and it never fails to impress. Superb food and very nice and professional staff from reception, through to the bar and at the tables. Puts several high profile restaurants in Manchester to shame.

   The Retreat in Adlington is a lovely place to eat.Food was served lovely and hot and the service was excellent as they were very busy on the Friday night.The only thing I found was that the prices are above average.For 3 of us with no alcohol, 3 x starters, 3 x mains , 1 x tea and 2 x coffees it came to £80.70 which I thought was a little expensive.But overall it was great.We will definitely go again but not every time we get together.

   Food was amazing, so tasty and the presentation was exquisite. The staff couldn't do enough for you, constantly walking around so you could easily ask for additional items if needed. miles better than the Bolton branch and that one is closer to me. I will be definitely returning.

    This was one of many visits. Great location, great atmosphere, great food. The Sunday roasts are amazing
