   This is THE place for seafood in Barceloneta and Barcelona in general! Simply brilliant and the food was exquisite to say the least! I have already recommended friends to go there when they visit as it’s that good. The choice of seafood there is unreal! Can’t fault it one bit. I want to go back now!

   el menjar era horrible i car. la llagosta de la paella estava totalment cuita. el vi també tenia un preu més alt. el cambrer era groller.

   We had been on a cruise with friends and spent two extra days in Barcelona. We had a farewell dinner at Salamanca, a restaurant recommended by the hotel. Great food in a large outdoor seating area.

   We wanted to be near the water and the location is okay, not great. Pretty far from the water. We were about to be seated in the mass of humanity to dine and I insisted on being on the outer edge closest to the beach where it was a bit quieter and cooler. Food was average at best. The best was sole bit all otherentrees were most likely frozen. I would pass this by with many other better options

   A tour guide recommended this restaurant as I wanted to have paella while in Spain. I am a female and traveled with a female friend. We made reservations, but when we arrived, they really did not care. We were "herded" to a table on the patio between two tables with families. Our waiter took our drink order, but forgot the water we had ordered and appeared displeased when we asked for it. We ordered "clean" paella, which means that there are no shells on the sea food. The waiter delivered our platter and disappeared. The paella was not clean. In addition, the tables next to us that had seafood on theirs had mussels, we only had shrimp and tiny clams that were useless. The waiter never returned and the ones catering to the two tables next to us totally ignored us. When it came time to pay, we complained. The gentleman who listened to our complaint offered to have us come back the next night to correct it - it was our last night in Barcelona. He did remove the paella from our bill, but the damage was done. Apparently you have to have a man at the table to get any respect at this restaurant. Ladies, find another place.

   La comida muy buena, servicio deja bastante que desear, hacía frío pero nos sentaron afuera por que los empleados estaban comiendo adentro del restaurante porque era su hora de descanso, para mi es incomodo comer con frío, aparte el mesero siempre nos estaba presionando para que termináramos pronto de comer, recogió mi plato antes de terminara, ademas nos exigió la propina. Aunque la comida es buena el servicio es parte de la experiencia y este no fue bueno. Por lo tanto no lo recomiendo.

    First trip to Barcelona, and Salamanca was suggested by friends. I think we were expecting more out of the food. However, food was decent, service was very good...our waiter was especially kind and accommodating to our children. Glad to have experienced such a popular restaurant, but probably would try somewhere else in the future.
