   We anticipated a very nice evening at H3 to celebrate a milestone anniversary. On arrival in the restaurant, we were pleased to be seated at a window table overlooking the gardens below. We chose the '5 course' tasting menu with 'level 1' (of 3) wine pairings (mostly 'new world' wine offerings...and quite adequate for the purpose). Course offerings were presented creatively, portion sizes were appropriately modest (as we expected for a tasting menu format). Overall, the food received was outstanding...our compliments to the culinary team! Our main concern (as expressed twice to servers) was the irregular pacing of the meal, which eroded our enjoyment of the entire experience. Following presentation of the 'amuse-bouche', the first wine was poured, then many minutes went by before the course (with which the wine was paired) finally arrived. The delay was significant enough to cause us to wonder if the wine was actually paired with the amuse-bouche, rather than the course that followed. On questioning this, we were advised of an 'error' in the kitchen (with apologies...but no top-up on the wine to be enjoyed with the paired course). The pacing of service on the next several courses/pairings improved markedly - due to a change to a server who was more attentive - but then, the staff rotated again...and pacing of the final courses faltered again. This 'stop and go' pacing throughout the meal left us irritated and disappointed. These meals are expensive...(over $300 for two persons) - and we feel the experience should have been better at this price. If asked by a friend, we would recommend the restaurant for dinner (with qualifications) because the food presentation was so well done. But we feel that further training of serving staff is indicated...to ensure it matches the quality of the meal (food and drink).

   Exceptional dinner and service. We tried the 5 course tasting menu and every dish was beautifully presented and delicious. We were there for a pre-Jazz show dinner. I will definitely be back!

   I had the lamb mousse, it is more like a terrine, so creamy and tasty. Followed by the squash risotto. Beautiful presentation and delicious. Should have skipped the desert, apple cheese cake as the meal was very filling. The Côte de Rhone white wine pairing was spot on. My only complaint which is a complaint I see so often is that when the meal is over the waiter is no where to be found. A suggestion, perhaps when serving the desert, ask if they would like for the bill to be prepared. Will definitely return. Thank you.

   Très bien en général. Et tout est très bon. J’avais clairement spécifié dans la réservation que c’était pour l’anniversaire d’une personne, mais rien n’a été fait. Petite déception de ce côté.
