   The ambiance is wonderful and the staff and chef so friendly and happy. This is a special place. Thank you for helping me to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday with her!

   Several years ago, this was very good. This time, it appears they are going on past reputation and decided the food no longer mattered, especially in light of the charge. Examples: the Bananas Foster had two very small and thin slices of banana (each the size of a quarter) although the accompanying fritters were good (with no banana taste). The salads were very small which each may have filled the equivalent of a coffee cup. The swordfish was not warm and the accompanying greens were too hard to chew. The server who was nice seemed to hype everything. He did not seem to care about the tiny banana slices or the uneaten greens. No bread was served and the server said after the meal that the customer has to ask for it (but the server never stated that earlier). We wanted this to be a very good experience (and it was a special occasion) but, alas, this was not to be this time. Hopefully, this experience was an exception and others had a better one.

   Very nice restaurant with great food. My only issue was that on our initial reservation I said it was a very special birthday, so can we please have the table by the fireplace. I made the reservations months in advance when I booked the Inn as well. When I called to confirm I again mentioned it and was told they would make a note. Then again when they called the day before I mentioned it and was told they'd make a note. Then upon checking into the Inn I was again told they'd make a note. My thought was were are all of the other notes!! Then when checking in for our reservation we were a few minutes early and we were told they could NOT check us in as another couple was ahead of us. The tables were all literally empty, so not sure why we had to wait, but I again said we should have the table by the fireplace and only then did the woman (who was not very nice) said they don't do specific table reservations!!! I had been asking for 2 months and not one person said that before. Also, there was a couple with a private table in the library all by themselves, and the room is not part of the restaurant... Why were they treated to a special table when I had tried to request one for a couple of months... that started our dinner off very poorly and being a special occasion that put me off.

   Had an absolutely incredible dinner! My husband and I were celebrating our 30th anniversary and this was the perfect place to dine. Weather wasn't too good that night in the mountains, but the atmosphere inside was lovely. Service attendants were wonderful; knowledgeable, friendly, etc. Everyone there made our dining experience wonderful. Definitely recommend for anyone!

   I'm not sure where to begin. From the first sip of the specialty cocktails to the last bite of the trifle dessert, this was one of the best dining experiences we've ever encountered. Our waitress (Corrie, we can't thank you enough for making our 20th Anniversary meal so special) gave fantastic suggestions and was as in tune with the menu as the Chef was with the ingredients. We had a table with a fantastic view that was far overshadowed by the food. Definitely some of the most inspired and eclectic food pairings we've ever tasted. My wife and I had recently resigned ourselves to the fact that paying too much for slightly above average food was the new norm. Thank you to the staff, Chef and proprietors of The Restaurant at Gideon Ridge for reminding us that there are still establishments out there who are passionate about what they do. Do not wait until the last minute to get a reservation or you will miss out on an incredible dining experience.

   Each of the wait staff were so accommodating. Jessica, Carmen and Cory help each other out to make sure you have an excellent dining experience. The food is delicious and beautiful in the presentation of the food. The atmosphere is cozy, quiet and everyone seems to be enjoying there experience. The mountain views are beautiful too.

    Gideon Ridge never fails to impress. As a party of five, we enjoyed a drink on the porch to watch the beautiful view and sunset. We opted to sit outside for our meal, but quickly realized it would be too cold. It was no problem - we were moved inside to a comfortable table immediately. Enjoyed excellent duck, tuna, fine wine and delicious desserts. A wonderful evening - highly recommended!
