   Croquettes- nice Pumpkin and sage ravioli- amazing Sticky toffee pudding- was delicious but not hot

   The food was terrible, I didn’t get a drink till I finished my meal. The salad leaves on the starter were brown, the potatoes on the lamb main weren’t cooked, and actually were not potatoes.

   The drinks did not arrive at the table until after we had finished the starters. The starters were poor. The crab cakes were deep fried, extremely fishy mush and the cheese croquettes were deep fried cheesy mush with no texture. The main of belly pork was nice but could have been seasoned as the crackling was tasteless. The apple pie was nice. The staff were very pleasant. The menu made it sound like it was going to be a culinary delight but it was far from it. Breakfast was very good the following morning.

   Food was not up to standard was like pub food and the restaurant 1744 and the lounge looked like a pub very disappointing to say it was a 4* hotel

    The waitress looked miserable. She poured a full bottle of wine in 3 glasses! I think she needs training on pouring a small glass of wine! The starter was the beetroot panacotta, one of them had no colour and was tasteless. We did mention it but got told it was because it didn't separate?! The ice cream tasted cheap. We ordered bread and oils and before we had even started them, the starters came out. Surely you should wait until we had finished the breads?
