   The food, setting, and service was everything you’d want in a tasting dinner. The staff was so knowledgeable, friendly, and fun! 10/10 recommend and would absolutely go again. Great experience. Thank you ✨

   Our 7 course dinner was really enjoyable. We loved the history and informative explanations of each dish. The wine pairing was fantastic and very interesting, it really added to the experience. The service was phenomenal, everyone was very attentive. The food was really good, some unique flavors and preparations. The plating was done very thoughtfully. Our only complaint is that the portions were too small. Granted it is nice to leave a dinner not feeling so full that you can barely walk, but it’s disappointing to leave still feeling hungry, which all three of us did. Especially for the amount we paid. The whole meal would have been perfect if each dish had a slightly larger portion. Otherwise, a truly memorable night.

   It was refreshing to find a place in Portland that offered a truly elevated dining experience with highly attentive service, genuinely unique and creative offerings, and a quiet atmosphere. Drink offerings were focused but of high quality. Presentation was consistently interesting and attractive. Additionally, I found the thread of a story behind each dish that connected it to some element of history or culture to be novel. I am normally wary of the addition of a service charge by a restaurant, but in this case, it did not trouble me as everyone who engaged with us was friendly, professional, and hospitable.

   I felt as if I'd been invited into the heart of the home of a dear friend who prepared food for me from their soul. Each dish was presented with a story and each ingredient was chosen with purpose, all representing the history, the moment and the future of their rich culture. Every bite elicited an emotion, a hug, a kiss, a bite, depth warmth, joy. The servers were all lovely, quietly attentive, perfect timing in removing plates and bringing the next mouth watering dish. All were passionate about the food they were serving. This was one of the most delightful meals I've had in my beloved city

   Wonderful food, ambiance, and service! The wine pairings were thoughtful, surprising in a couple cases and all were spot on. While an expensive meal for Portland, the overall experience is unlike anything else in town, and should be treasured while it lasts.

   We had a fantastic 7 course dinner with delicious wine pairings. It was a unique culinary experience that we savored. The servings ranged from interesting / good to stunning. We are not knowledgeable foodies, just folks searching for fun dining experiences on occasion. This was one.

    República was amazing! You feel well cared for the moment you check in. It’s a very intimate experience and everyone is so knowledgeable of the food and drinks. We left feeling full but not stuffed which is my favorite, we were unsure how we’d feel with a tasting menu so happy to report you don’t leave hungry. The food was multilayered flavor wise and yet maintained simple and yet expert appearance. Highly recommended!
