   What an outstanding experience from the moment you walk in to the Chandler and then into Remi‘s loose, you see the wonderful grander of the spaces and the amazing view out to the ocean… Great presentation of all the foods and impeccable service from all involved…

   Went for the prix fixe menu for Easter. Was very surprised by the markups. Charging $125/pp and then marking up a charcuterie plate offered as a 1st course by $40 when the Wagyu was only a $15 charge seems absurd. Additionally, some of the cheese served to us was just the rind and not edible. The small ham pieces in the main course were 1/2 fat and discarded. Service was poor. We waited 1 hr to get our 1st course. Drink orders average 15 min to receive. The location is beautiful but we will not be going back.

   A Memorable Dining Experience at Remy’s Loose at The Chanler Dining at Remy’s Loose at The Chanler was an absolute delight from start to finish. The restaurant strikes the perfect balance between casual comfort and refined elegance, making for a relaxed yet upscale dining experience. One of the standout features was the open kitchen concept, which I absolutely loved. Watching the chefs expertly prepare each dish added an exciting, immersive element to the meal. The food itself was flawless—every dish was prepared to perfection, showcasing high-quality ingredients and impeccable technique. My favorites were the house onion bread appetizer, the Madai Snapper, and the pear dessert. Our server was exceptional and truly what made our dining experience so memorable. Overall, Remy’s Loose at The Chanler delivers on every front—perfectly prepared food, impeccable service, and an atmosphere that makes you want to linger just a little longer. It’s a must-visit for anyone looking to experience the best of Newport’s dining scene.

   Lovely night with great food and awesome service from Mason! Everything was timed perfectly and cooked to perfection. Love the open kitchen view and new decor.

   Wonderful lunch on a Saturday . The terrace happened to be closed, so we were seated in the newly remodeled Cara restaurant at a table facing the beach. We both had the Cheeseburger with the bacon & onion marmalade which was outstanding and cooked to perfection. Our server was very nice and knowledgeable.

   Absolutely incredible experience overall ! Service, Food , and atmosphere created an epic dinner and date night. Very welcoming, romantic, and intimate dinning. Staff is attentive to every need, and the food is elevated to a whole other level. Every bite of this tantalizing meal from beginning to end was outstanding! I would highly recommend making reservations for this dinning experience. Whether you are celebrating something special or just want to share an amazing dinning experience.

   A really fantastic meal. Great food and great service. The menu is innovative with great vegetarian choices along with the staples (oysters, steak, etc.) you would expect to see in Newport. Worthy of a trip for a special occasion or simply a date-night.

   The Chanler fine dining experience continues with Remys Loose. Utilizing what will be Cara’s pretty indoor space, the new addition to the Chanler will be on the terrace come summer. The fare is beautifully sourced for the meat and seafood dishes. It reaches that sweet spot between “elevated” and approachable with a creative menu for everyone’s taste. Although it is very sophisticated, it was also warm and welcoming. As for desserts which are often an afterthought, they are sublime. Chef Jacob and his team are making magic with in their gorgeous open kitchen. Remys Loose is so worth the experience. We plan on making it part of our repertoire.

    I've been to The Chanler’s previous café many times and absolutely loved it, but Remy’s Loose has surpassed all expectations. This was an unparalleled dining experience. The décor is sleek yet comfortable, and as always, the team was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We tried multiple dishes, and each was better than the last. The onion bread was phenomenal, and I was especially surprised by the amberjack, as it was extraordinary. Even my partner, who doesn’t usually like seafood, loved it! The oysters were impeccably fresh with the perfect mignonette, and the red snapper was divine. The steak was cooked to perfection, and for dessert, we shared a fruit dish with ladyfingers that balanced sweetness beautifully. One of the biggest surprises was the ravioli with peas; it was incredibly fresh and tasted like spring on a plate. Every detail of the meal was thoughtfully executed, and we can’t wait to return. A sincere thank you to the Chef, who truly outdid himself. Highly recommend!
