Red Crown is an Americana restaurant with a Motor City twist. While known for our in-house smoked meats and burgers, we offer a wide variety of options including seafood and salads. Our focus is on made-from-scratch product, using locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. Our meats are hormone and antibiotic free, and our seafood is sustainably caught. I love coming here for breakfast and lunch. There was only other couple here when we had our reservation and it was super quiet and intimate. The natural light is perfect for a Sunday morning. I always love their waffles and pancakes but they have a lot of other brunch items I’d like to try so I’m definitely coming back soon. Always one of my favorite places to go, never had a grad thing to say. Also love love love our server, I love the way she expressed her personality through her hair color and was super friendly.

Pork Loin Pastrami Reuben: too smoky tasting, the meat had no resemblance to pastrami and the sandwich tasted nothing like a Reuben, I ate 1/3 of it and couldn’t stomach the rest. The truffle fries had a herb (anise probably) on them that made it taste like black licorice. The Mac and cheese was flavorless, wait I take that back, it tasted like processed cheese, and was very runny. The ribs were dry and had an odd flavor, can’t quite put my finger on the spices used but it was sweet not like brown sugar and strange undertones. The baked beans were inedible, very dry and overly Smokey. The French onion soup tasted like a puréed slider. The onions were shredded and too overpowering. The regular fries were good and so were the drinks.

Very loud inside the restaurant even though they weren’t full. It was difficult to hear the person sitting directly accords from me. Food and drinks were good.

Food was delicious. Our server was very sweet and patient. Menu prices need to be updated as I was charged more than what was listed. Overall good experience. Will return.

I always enjoy Red Crown and yesterday was no exception. The noise level would have been rated as quiet but there were four or five adorable young children who were very well behaved but make more noise than most adults at lunch. Food was delicious, as always, and we heard that a new menu is coming soon, which is welcome news as I've had most of the things I can eat that are on the menu. Our server was very good, checked with us often, but not too often, and in all, a lovely lunch.

It's always spotless. The food was absolutely delicious and looked amazing. The best was the service by bartender Chris. She's a pro for sure. Her people skills are top notch!

Service was good, Ribs and Truffle Fries were outstanding. Appetizers -Smoked …French onion soup, onions were tough and smoked flavor did not enhance just eww. The greens and artichoke dip were ok but, lacked seasoning and were a little bitter due to greens. Overall nice dinner, wonderful family atmosphere. Would’ve been five stars if it were not for the appetizers.
