A little pricey for the quality. I had the surf and turf which included 1 jumbo over cooked fried shrimp and bland short rib. Great presentation and a cute place but I’ll pass next time.

Have eaten at Red Cat numerous times over several years and recommended it to many others. Not a disappointed person in the bunch and everything on the menu or special of the day has been terrific. Playful, different and tasty drink menu and reasonably priced wine list. Our servers have always been knowledgable on both the menu items and on the wine list. The only advice I could give is; make a reservation well in advance as it is no longer a secret and Red Cat is lively (noisy by the chef/owner's design) so if you want to have a conversation or anyone is hard of hearing it could be a challenge. Absolutely worth talking louder or just eating there without talking....sorry Red Cat is closing for the year 10/31.

Not sure what all the fuss is about. The menu is trendy. The food pedestrian.

The porch is now too cold to continue to be used as a dining room. We started out very unhappy at having to wear our coats during dinner and the hostess started out quite hostile to our concern. As we ate some if us warmed up and the hostess, for whatever reason, became much nicer. Not a perfect experience but at least it went in the right direction and the food was good though quite - at times, too - salty.

Red Cat Kitchen is a happening place, there was a crowd beating the door down when we arrived shortly before its regular opening at 6:00pm. It was a cold night, and the waiter was good enough to let us inside to get out of the cold. Food was very good, had their signature Crispy Brussels Sprouts, which was excellent. Our appetizers of Steak Tartar and Foie Gras were outstanding, and mains of Pan Seared Scallops and Buttermilk Fried Chicken were delicious. An excellent dining experience.

if you're looking for a place to go with its own funky vibe then The Red Cat Kitchen is the place for you! its located on a side street in Oak Bluffs in an old house. it only has approximately 20 tables so reservations ARE A MUST if you decide to go. And if you're thinking of waiting at the bar, forget it, as it only seats 4-5. The chef does amazing things in the kitchen as you will be extremely happy with whatever you order. It has a nice little wine list covering all the bases up to and including a lovely 20 year Tawny Port with dessert. This is gourmet dining with an attitude! As the reviews have piled up The Red Cat has become the "go to" restaurant in the summer months so make your reservations early or you will wait 1 to 2 hours for a table. Parking is an issue as well as it has none of its own. You park where you can find it out on the esplanade. My advice when coming here would be walk, or take a cab if coming from out of town. Especially in the summer. When on the Vineyard please make sure you visit the Red Cat for dinner, you will become an instant fan like me.

The Red Cat is one of our favorite restaurants. We typically take guest to this OB hot spot. And Saturday night did not disappoint. We got the "chef's choice" menu for our table. Everything was delicious. Chef Ben is creative and inspired! Will miss the Red Cat this winter.

We had been told that we HAD to go the Red Cat Kitchen, but honestly we weren't all that impressed. There were some interesting items on the menu, but we all (4 of us) found them to be rather salty and just ok. If fried chicken has a price tag of $32, it ought to be out of this world, but it wasn't. The service was friendly and the drinks were good and fairly priced. We didn't leave feeling upset, but rather knowing that we likely would not return.

The brussels sprouts were fabulous. Some kind of "secret sauce". make a reservation, otherwise you won't get to enjoy the food and fun atmosphere.
