   We are always warmly greeted at the door by Theresa. She makes us feel welcome, recommends current dishes and makes For a very convivial dinner.

   I read the reviews and we chose Rays for Easter dinner… and so glad we did. The service was lovely (Haley), the food outstanding, and the ambiance lovely. Oh and the bar had all of our favorite bourbons. I can highly recommend the shrimp and grits..

   I have never had an experience where a server acted more “put upon” by the simplest of requests. We made brunch reservations for Easter Sunday and found the restaurant to be mostly empty. Perhaps, it was our mistake to think that each Ray’s location would be as inviting as the location on the river. How wrong we were — this was barely a step above the lobby restaurant in a Hampton Inn. What a dump — rickety chairs and dated decor. Our server was both loud and impatient. Despite being one of five tables, each course took an inordinate amount of time. The food was fine, but not remarkable. The experience was so mediocre that we decided to not order entrees. I’m sure the restaurant is fine for business meals — which must justify its existence, but avoid it all all costs for anything on the weekend, or holidays.

   Dinner was great, service was great. We ordered 3 chocolate brownie sundaes and 2 cheesecakes to go. Sadly, none of the chocolate brownie sundaes had chocolate sauce, caramelized bananas, strawberries or pecans. Very disappointing when we got home, but perhaps it are fault for not checking to ensure they did the right thing.

   AMAZING! I will definitely be back. Our server was so kind and humorous. He made the dinner enjoyable. The food and service was a 10/10

    I've been to Ray's several times, usually for drinks and appetizers, and it's always been great! Last night we had a Strip and it was honestly pretty bad. It was cooked to temp, but the fat wasn't rendered so the fat cap was really large and there was a layer of raw fat around the whole steak. The meat wasn't rested and started bleeding on the plate about a minute after it was dropped. It was also cut with the grain so even though it was medium-rare it was tough and chewy. We had to cut off about half of the steak. I was pretty surprised based on my other experiences.
