   We’ve been here before and it’s consistently excellent food and service. Staff always helpful and chef does come out and talk to guests sometimes. Overall excellent dining experience

   It was such a bright, open, happy, welcoming space. I had been visiting Portland from the East coast and Ray was the place I was most excited to eat at and it did not disappoint! Usually when you travel you overeat a lot of heavy bad foods, but everything here was so fresh and delicious that we all walked away feeling amazing! We still probably ate way too much because it was so delicious we just kept ordering more. Service was also wonderful. Everyone was so nice and attentive, made the experience even more fun. I would absolutely recommend.

   Everything was good. Great service. The music was very loud. This made it difficult to have a conversation. The menu items were unique. They were composed of a good blend of flavors.

   What a wonderfulinvention of Chef Jenn Louis. She took a successful retaiarant and changed it to something new and more successful. It isn’t so much Israeli food as an Israeli take on all middle eastern food. We love places that make us think. And laugh. Fluffy kavash. Spinach and cream dip. Flatbread is a melange of New Mexico and Beirut. Baklava is a blend of .... Just try it!

   As always wonderful food, carefully crafted and graciously served. We were able to try a huge range of things and enjoy one another’s company over subtle, interesting dishes. This is why we keep coming back and bringing out of town guests! Many thanks.

   Chef/owner, Jenn Louis, is terrific hostess - mingling with patrons and answering questions. Took a class from her on how to cook octopus just before dinner and it was fun and informative. Great overall experience.

   Had a great meal with friends at Ray. The food is creative and interesting; the carrot hummus is memorable as is the cabbage. Very vegetarian friendly with attentive service!

    Very fresh, everything made by the chef including the drink mixers. We had a bottle of wine from Lebanon which was unique and very good. Large open doors to enjoy the weather but not roast. Meats were fantastic, pita and hummus too.
