We are the lil sis of Queenstown Public House located in the Little Italy district of San Diego. Slightly smaller, but with the same basic ingredients.

A beautiful, comfortable, unique, fun setting. A friendly, smiling, courteous staff we hope you get to know. Guests enjoying the moment, sharing a laugh, whom we hope we get to know. Freshly made dishes; locally sourced, passionately created, many unique…and all delicious. A beer list changing daily, proudly from our award winning local craft SD brewers, and a wine list chosen with care from select vineyards and varietals.

With a kiwi inspired lineage, and the spirit, love and good nature from the land of the Maori, we hope you will join us. And if we are so fortunate, then, we hope you will have a little too much of a good time, have a few too many laughs, stay a while, and return again soon to see us.

    While it was overall ok there were some things that were a little annoying. We had a total of 3 different servers that didn’t seem to communicate with each other which was confusing. Additionally, while they say they close at 9 it started to feel like they wanted to get rid of us at ~8:10 which doesn’t feel very nice or inviting. We got the check at 8:30 without being asked if we wanted another drink. The whole place felt like they just wanted to go home. That reduced enthusiasm to the usual great atmosphere this place has.

    Apparently strollers are a fire hazard; I’ve seen this “excuse” more and more at restaurants lately. Seems like a way to keep babies out of restaurants rather than any actual safety concern. In this instance we even said, “not a problem the wheels on stroller fold up. It can go on a chair or a bench.” She had to go check with someone about that and came back and said “it will be about a 15-30 minute wait even though you had a reservation .” Clearly they are trying their hardest to keep babies out. Idiots.

    I am a fan of the Queenstown and BareBack team. I really appreciate their dedication to GF options (separate fryer at many locations - BOMB). Good food, nice folks and fair prices.

    Always a great experience at Queenstown! Great burgers, friendly service and a lovely indoor/outdoor environment, all in the middle of beautiful UTC. We look forward to next time!

    So many choices at UTC for dining. I was very underwhelmed here. The Queenstown in the La Jolla Village is much more consistent.

    Always delicious, especially the pretzel best in town . Larry is wonderful. Always makes our evening special . Will return soon

    Queenstown Bistro was a beautiful restaurant with an amazing selection of delicious dishes to choose from. We had an amazing time in such a lovely place!! The ambience was just right and made you forget you were I. The middle of a busy shopping center. The service was also outstanding!! We will definitely be going back again and again!!

    Waiter was very unfriendly and seemed annoyed we were waiting on 2 more people to arrive. It was also 2 birthday celebrations but he didn’t even suggest a dessert or offer anything. Whole experience with him was not very comfortable .
