About this restaurant

  • Good for special occasions
  • Hot spot
  • Lively
At Pyro, our obsession goes beyond the flame. With each spark from our wood burning hearth, we ignite the energy that flows through the doors and into your senses. Our diverse menu walks a fine line between Japanese Izakaya and American Bistro, and our chefs prepare dishes using open flame, live-fire cooking that allows the enhanced natural flavors of the ingredients to shine through. A refined yet inviting atmosphere is paralleled with a lush exterior patio, just as an elevated dining experience is matched with an intentionally energetic cocktail bar where the vibe flows through each pour and each beat of music. Flame-licked steaks and intoxicating energy will leave you yearning for a taste of more at Pyro.

We went to PYRO this weekend to celebrate a birthday and had an awesome experience! It’s in a super convenient location—right next to The Global Ambassador, which made it easy to head over for after-dinner drinks. Our favorite picks of the night: the Match espresso martini (so good!), the Yuzu-Shiso cocktail, short rib fried rice, Caesar salad, and the Pyro cheeseburger. We didn’t order too much, just enough to share, and it ended up being the perfect amount of food. The vibe was great—dark, trendy, and just the right energy for a celebration. Would definitely come back!

Loved the decor and lighting. It is very loud, which I don’t mind but just keep in mind it’s not the best for having a conversation. The food was a little disappointing. It was ok overall, but nothing really stood out as great. The cocktails were delicious though, and they have a great wine list (some overlap with Le Ame I think). Overall, I would come back for drinks but probably not for dinner again.

Jennifer, Thank you so much for coming in and giving us a try! We appreciate the review as well. We’re sorry to hear the food didn’t quite hit the mark for you. Your feedback is really valuable, and we'll definitely take it into consideration as we continue to refine our menu and overall dining experience. Kindly, Ryan Mitchell

Last night was our second time enjoying PYRO. First off, Mel was our server both times. Each time Mel ensured that our PYRO experience was memorable. The attention to detail, knowledge of the PYRO menu, and the recommendations all top tier! Thanks Mel! The atmosphere was amazing! Great vibes for any occasion. Now, what you all are here for... The food! The short rib skewers are a must. The sashimi was flawless to sight and taste. The Japanese sweet potato will leave you wanting more. The Lamb Chops, NY strip, and Branzino were all stars in their own rights. Varying flavor profiles and uniqueness for each of those dishes. Unfortunately, the salmon did fall short in comparison, not saying it was bad but it did not rank with the other stars on the table. 😂 My go to drink is a Oxacan Old Fashioned and it was top 5 in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. Don't walk but run to PYRO and be sure to ask for Mel to be your Experience curator because he isn't just a server.
