   If you’re looking for a nice and moderately quiet restaurant with an ocean view then this is a good choice. Food was very good and staff very attentive.

   My second visit to Aruba and this restaurant, I made sure I brought my family back to this restaurant. Noticeable changes that they no longer have the lite up menus and the led globe for lighting up the tables out on the beach area. Menu items remain pretty much the same and no nightly specials. The food quality is still good but not too happy with the octopus appetizer. There was a total of 5 pieces of octopus in the whole dish of potatoes and baby arugula, onions and peppers. My short rib was more like a piece of pot roast cutters to look like rib strip and did not cut easy for a braised short rib and it was chewy

   Eating at Pure Ocean is simply perfection. The food is delicious..highly recommend the Lobster Mac and Cheese.. so much fish in it and very yummy. Our server Oscar was lovely.. and attentive. We were missing Eduardo for this visit and wish him a speedy recovery..he was missed!

   We had reservations for 6 pm which was perfect in terms of timing the sunset. We went to the bar adjacent to the restaurant at 5 as there is a happy hour from 5-6. The ambiance ,service and food at this restaurant was incredible. Our server ( Aengy) was so lovely. My wife had the lobster tail-I had the grouper-both were excellent. This was a special occasion and we splurged. It was for sure expensive but worth every penny. How often are you going to enjoy a beautiful dinner on an incredible beach with a sunset?

    This was our first time dining at Pure Ocean and our experience was mixed. When we arrived, we were seated promptly and the hostess was very accommodating. Our waitress was very nice and attentive but failed to mention there would be an up-charge on top-shelf liquor (maybe I should have known better). Food was fantastic and the service was really good, but we were very surprised when the bill arrived. We noticed there was a “service charge” of $22.00 (15%) and inquired about this with our server. We were told that it was basically a tip for back-of-the-house staff, but failed to mention that a portion of the 15% went to the server, which we later learned after a brief conversation with the manager who also told us that this fee is mentioned at the bottom of the menu. We still left a 20% tip, which is what we would leave under normal circumstances, but if we knew ahead of time that a portion of the service fee was going to the server, we may not have left as much. At the end of the day, we’re talking about only a few dollars or so, but it feels somewhat deceitful; and who the hell thinks to read the fine print on a damn menu anyway. For this reason, we will not go back. Hope this helps anyone who is thinking of dining there.
