As the name suggests, P.S. Steak was established to continue the story of the historic space that was once famed La Belle Vie. As Chef Mike DeCamp spent 10 years at the former French restaurant, this will be his homecoming and opportunity to write his own chapter for the space. P.S. Steak disrupts the perceptions of a typical steakhouse while honoring the legacy of one of the great culinary foundations in the Twin Cities.
The restaurant features an elevated yet accessible seasonal menu, along with a variety of cuts of meat, dry aged in a display case.
The lounge has been given a modern makeover with chic furniture and marble table tops. A selection of living floor plants divides tables to create intimate seating. Bringing warmth to the room, the bar and adjacent fireplace keeps guests cozied up to a menu of progressive cocktails.

    We had an amazing culinary experience last night at P.S. Steak last night with friends. We shared the large Chopped Salad which was plenty for all of us. The steaks three in our party ordered were raved about. And what can sometimes be an afterthought, the half-roasted chicken was so tender and juicy. Definitely a restaurant to put on rotation.

    We were celebrating a birthday dinner. Our initial waiter was Madision (who was lovely)- he took our drink and dinner orders and then was working behind the bar. There was a long lapse between our salad delivery and entrees - almost 40 minutes. At one point all of our water glasses were empty and we were ready for another round of drinks. We had to flag down a waiter to come to our table. The dinners were great but it took forever before someone came and cleared our table. No one asked if we wanted to see the desert menu. We also had to flag someone down to bring our check - at this point we were too tired. It wasn't clear who was our waiter and it didn't feel that anyone was caring for our table. It was a disappointment.

    The valet, hostess, gentleman who sat us, our server, and collaborative staff-all made the dining experience wonderful. The drinks and food mimicked the service. Denver steak, forever; will die on that hill.

    Our group of four took advantage of the retro La Belle Vie menu being offered for the month of March. Two of us had frequented the La Belle Vie Lounge during its heyday in the early 2000s. Found memories were shared. We ordered our favorites from those times. We could also order off the P.S. Steak menu, but that was not our mission. We had a lovely evening. It was a bit of an extravagance, but well worth it. Just to sit in this graceful space itself makes it all worthwhile.

    Great vibe - went to the back bar / steak house area. Service is top notch yet subdued / the food is outstanding. Ambiance of PS is very chill with the food and service making the statement. It’s a bit off the beaten path, but well worth the look.
