The restaurant is located in the historic Hilton President Hotel at 1329 Baltimore, within walking distance to the Kauffman Center, Sprint Center and to Bartle Hall.

The restaurant is accompanied by The Drum Room Lounge, a notable bar and cocktail lounge with an illustrious history in the Hilton President.

Providence New American Kitchen offers a common place to gather in an intimate setting. Based on the rich history of the restaurant’s location, Providence creates a warm atmosphere, incorporating reclaimed wood and vintage prints depicting the nation’s history. Dennis our server was fantastic and the food was amazing ... they even accommodated special requests for the menu and the valet parking was complimentary! Well will definitely be back ! Thank you !

The only reason this review isn't a straight-across 5 stars in all categories was the service. Everyone we encountered was very friendly, which was great. But efficiency and timeliness were a bit lacking. Even so, I'd recommend this restaurant.

The food, the service and the cocktail list were all great. Menu is a little limited in selection although there was more than enough to satisfy. The only area lacking might have been dessert - the one that sounded most appealing - flaming cheese - was not available. Went prior to a show, as did many others, and all the staff chipped in to make sure everyone got out on time; the kitchen did an amazing job of turning orders around.

Arrived at 5:45pm for dinner, going to a show at 7:30pm, restaurant was not very crowded. An hour passes, every one in the place has been served even guests that arrived after us. Food was promised earlier but never came. We ordered Mac n cheese and a burger- simple enough. Had to leave for our show hungry and still no sign of dinner. We will never go back. Very disappointed as when we were seated the server asked if we were going to a show and indicated speedy service. Fail.

Good food, good service but not overbearing. Very cognizant of the fact many of their patrons have theater reservations and do a good job at getting the food items out in a timely fashion so one doesn’t feel rushed.
