   Very nice setting in the pation overlooking Dana Point harbour. Order few... huge portions.

   THIS WAS THE FIRST FIRE WORK EXPERIENCE FOR MY BABY (ALMOST 1 YEAR OLD) AND MY MOTHER (82)! IT WAS AWESOME! SARAH WAS TERRIFIC! SHE IS A GREAT SERVER, FUN TO BE AROUND AND KIND WITH CHILDREN-PERFECT COMBO FOR US! I WILL ATTEND NEXT YEAR AND WILL MAKE IT A POINT TO TELL OTHER PEOPLE. WE WENT LAST WEEKEND FOR LUNCH AND ENJOYED YOUR ATMOSPHERE AND SURROUNDINGS. SEE YOU SOON!

   Chef Lawrence is a true professional! Simple, uncomplicated dishes are elevated by the creative use of different flavors, and the cioppino is flavorful and colorful, and incredibly tasty. Try the Kilpatrick oysters, even if not on the menu, they are incredible with bacon and butter and worcestershire sauce! The service is attentive, and every item on the menu is worth a try. The bar is intimate and well-stocked considering the small space. Wine list is respectable. I hope more people come for dinner (offered only since 2/09), but for now, we are enjoying the smaller crowds. There is plenty of room to sit on the outside (protected and heated) patio, and we're glad they reopened after the fire. A real winner in DP!

   This was our first time to Proud Mary's. We are new to the area but the restaurant is not. They have always done breakfast and lunch, dinner is new for them. We would go back. The service was friendly, responsive, and customer oriented. My husband had steak, I had scallops. The steak was medium not medium rare as requested. They agreed and asked for a little time and made a new steak which was medium rare. Scallops were done just right and the rice incredible. I think we'll try breakfast next. It's always crowded on weekends, especially in nice weather. The people working there could not have been better. It's hard to do some of the ratings after just one visit. We look forward to visiting often and having high ratings.

   Cocktail hour was boldly advertised, but did not apply to the outside dining area which we found misleading. Although the food was very good, the price was high for the quality of the dining area. Would expect these prices at a more luxurious restaurant. We will not return to Proud Mary's....and as a local who use to frequent Proud Mary's...we are disappointed!

   This was our first dining experience at Proud Mary's. We were pleasantly surprised by the delicious food and the wonderful service. We had a great waitress from Iran (27 years in the states) who was very happy to share her story with us. It made us feel very much a part of the restaurant.

   Had a great time. The restaurant overlooks Dana Point Harbor. Lawrence, the chef, is very friendly and knows food. The seared ahi was superb.

   I think the dinner was a little pricey. It was pretty good but potato portion and veggie was tiny. They are a superb breakfast and lunch place but not so sure we will return for dinner.
