   As always the food was outstanding. Great service from Nick. Most of the time the owner Giovanni will walk around and check that everything is to your liking. One of the best things is the space between the tables. It allows you some privacy in a busy restaurant. THE BEST ITALIAN restaurant period.

   The short rib and risotto special is a fantastic entree. The pistachio cream cake is delicious. After not seeing him for a couple visits, Joe was back and provided his usual excellent service. It really is nice having a reliably excellent establishment like Portofino here in Myrtle Beach. I never hesitate to bring family and friends or recommend Portofino to visitors. Ilma and Giovanni have really created a superior dining experience. Thank you.

   For Italian fine dining in South Carolina pretty decent food! This is coming from someone used to NY/NJ high quality of fine Italian dining. When in the area will certainly be back.

   We had an absolutely wonderful experience! We were seated exactly in time, promptly acknowledged by our waiter Joe, perfect martinis brought to us by the bartender, and food delivered timely. The dishes were excellent. Just the right portion and flavor. Had a fantastic experience. Highly recommend and we will be back upon our next visit to Myrtle Beach.
