   The service and the food were excellent. The seating arrangement was a little tight for 5 people but we didn’t bother asking to change it. Servings were provided and empty dishes removed in a timely and efficient manner so we were not inconvenienced.

   This was out first time dining at Portage and it was excellent. We had half order of cod, carrots and scalloped potato along with the rib steak. All the food tasted great with one minor issue. The steak came out a solid 10 minutes after everything else so by the time we got it most of the sides were really getting a bit cool. Also, the steak was pre cut and not on a heated plate so that also cooled off pretty quick. The service and food tasted great and since it is meant for sharing the prices are very reasonable. They said the half order of cod was for 2 people but one hungry person could definitely finish it off, the same with the steak. We are not big eaters and there wasn't much left at the end, it was just the right amount of food. We will definitely go back!

   Food was amazing! Our server helped us decide whether to get full or half orders of the dishes. Our first time dining but it won't be the last. Ir was all delicious!

   If you love food you should eat at this place. From the service (Thanks Tia) to the food ( Thanks Chef), you are all wonderful. 10/10.

    I had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately, it was a complete disappointment. We were celebrating my husband and I's anniversary, we indicated this in the reservation (we had no expectations), but why ask to leave a note if the staff does not react to it at all. The position of our table was also not the best, of course we wanted more privacy on a special day for us. We were served by a waitress, I can’t give her name, since she didn’t introduce herself. All service was formal, not attentive in my opinion there was a note of arrogance. Unfortunately there were no recommendations what to order, since we have more than 10 years of experience in hospitality, we have an idea of ​​​​good service. There was a feeling that we were being rushed, plates were being cleared without asking, the table was being cleared. Everyone has a work schedule, and in my opinion, for an employee to leave early, this should be a pleasant bonus, but not as an opportunity to rush guests. We really liked some of the dishes, but most were oversalted and had too much oil. Thank you for providing a discount on these dishes. A negative experience is also an experience, I don’t think I’ll come again. Guests come to restaurants not only for the food, but also for the pleasant service and atmosphere in general.
