   Always love Portage Bay! Can’t say enough about the lingonberry Swedish pancakes. Got a “kids” serving with the huevos rancheros-great recco by the waitress. Was able to have sweet and savory! What a great start to the day!!

   As always, the food and service were good. A great place to go with a group for breakfast/brunch - but make sure to always have a reservation, this place gets packed! Also - great option for anyone that is Celiac or Gluten Free. They have many really tasty GF options on their menu. The only downside is the noise. Always very loud in there so if you are hoping to have some intimate conversations I'd maybe pick another option.

   Portage Bay on 65th was fantastic as usual, great food, easily accommodated a special food request, and our server was great!

   Overall a nice brunch for five adults. French toast items, migas with chorizo, avocado toast all excellent. The special salmon benedict item was disappointing: cold, meager quanity of what seemed like canned flaked salmon, the entire item seemed possibly prearranged and kept cold in the refrigerator, although the poached eggs were perfect. Coffee better than most spots in Seattle. The restaurant was a bit noisy and quite cold. Still a very nice brunch overall.

   Food is great, gf French toast could have been crispier, coffee was hot the first time then cold on the refill; it happens. Will definitely be back to try the lemon ricotta pancakes.

    So good!!! Recommended by a friend a couple of years ago. Today was my first visit. Not sure why I waited so long. There were four of us. Food was fabulous. One thing that struck me was the potatoes. I don’t like breakfast potatoes, but for some reason I tried one. May sound silly, but these were the BEST potatoes I have ever had. I typically don’t eat carbs either, but these potatoes! OMG! I ordered the Migas- huge and delicious, the others at the table had the breakfast sandwich, the veggie hash and the ranchers breakfast. The ranchers breakfast included French toast. The French toast included a trip to the fresh fruit bar with fresh homemade whipped cream. Everything. EVERYTHING was incredible. So go that we might go again tomorrow. Yep, it’s that good! The only thing that I would have liked to have had, but wasn’t offered, was a good Bloody Mary, but for a breakfast this good I will go without. (Coffee was fabulous too by the way). Love. Love. Love.
