Pirogue Grille offers a seasonal menu with many things crafted from scratch on-site, much to the delight of those in Bismarck, North Dakota. The desserts, breads, stocks, sauces and ice creams are all made in-house and local and organic ingredients are utilized as much as possible. The elegance of wood and exposed brick walls makes Pirogue Grille comfortable and inviting. The open views of the chefs at work adds charm and excitement. The full menu is available in the dining room as well as the bar area. Expect the unexpected, such as BBQ rabbit, freekeh wheat salad, sautéed bison medallions and pheasant pasta. The dessert menu at Pirogue Grille is just as inventive with chokecherry and chocolate praline ice cream and a featured flavor Trinity cream each day.

The restaurant concept features a culturally diverse menu that changes with the seasons. Using ingredients grown in season means Pirogue Grille gives you the maximum amount of flavor those products can deliver. Cooking with the seasons also has the power to satisfy innate or learned food cravings. Several items are always on the menu like walleye, bison, lamb, and house-made venison sausage.
