Piper is a nice coastal restaurant decorated to fit the environment. Everything is presented well and it is clean. The food was good (my family of 5) ordered off their eclectic Easter a la carte menu, which was moderately priced. I ordered the salmon benedict which was well made, presented nicely, and tasted good. My son ordered the Lamb, which he said was a bit chewy. The eggs in pergatory (or something like that) was really good, according to my daughter. My son did enjoy the cheesy grits! Overall, the food was yummy. Service could have been a bit better. I would say our waitress was polite, just not very attentive (she could have been stretched managing too many tables) however, Piper is a good place for breakfast and I would suggest giving it a try!

We were seated right away because we made a reservation but no one came to the table until I flagged down a server after waiting more than 10 minutes to even be greeted. Coffee took a long time to come & we had to flag someone down again for cream. The food took a very long time to come out. My husband’s eggs were not prepared correctly which they did fix but my simple scrambled eggs were inedible. They looked like they had been prepared in some kind of bulk pan as they were shaped oddly & parts were dried out (not burned) to the point of being hard. No one checked on us after that for a long time & we weren’t able to flag anyone down so I couldn’t even tell the server. After seeing my husband leave most of his food untouched the server finally checked on me & tried to be helpful but I was not interested in eating anymore. She was sweet and seemed very surprised when I showed her my eggs. She did remove my meal from the bill. I don’t blame the server. She was very busy & I don’t think even knew we’d been seated until we asked her for help. The food issue was also not her fault. My best guess is that they were focusing on the special Easter brunch buffet in one of the ballrooms & pre-made many of the breakfast item. Whatever the cause, at their price point, poorly made eggs are not acceptable. The management should have planned better if the special event was going to have such a big impact on food or service.

It was my Birthday weekend. This Hotel was absolutely beautiful! Piper their restaurant did not disappoint! Every single staff member from Valet to checkin to waiter was 100 percent courteous, kind and helpful! I can’t wait to go back!! If we weren’t at the resort all the fun local bars & live music was within walking distance. Then to come back & sit on our patio and listen to the waves crash was priceless…. Highly recommend!

My family and I had a wonderful time here. I really liked their menu. We ordered the octopus, steak tartare, the baked pystersy, 2 of the salads, the whole branzino, and the handmade pasta. It was all very fresh and absolutely delicious! And our server was so sweet. She took care of us really well. I would definitely recommend this place.

I got the omelette and my daughter got the avocado toast. The omelette was like an egg crêpe folded with veggies and very little cheese. The omelette was warm. I guess I needed to tell them hot, but I shouldn’t have to say that. I asked for a side of bacon - well done and crunchy. It was done, but it was not crunchy and it was still soft. The avocado toast did not taste like fresh avocados, but a mixture of guacamole. We also got two lattes which were pretty tasty. The waitress was nice. The restaurant charges a “6% fee to offset the state and city minimum wage increase “ and is not considered part of the gratuity. Why pass it on to the customer? Expensive $80 breakfast.
