Pinons has been located in downtown Aspen,across the street from the historic Hotel Jerome since February of 1988 and has been locally owned and operated since then.The dining room, which seats 130,recently re-decorated in a mountain contemporary style,evokes the casual sophistication that has come to symbolize Aspen. The windows frame picturesque Aspen Mountain. The cuisine has been described as traditional American influenced heavily by local products and current trends. Pinons has received many renowned awards but cherishes most the recognition by locals as the most coveted reservation in town. The intention is to create an experience that is unique yet comfortable; create food that is creative yet approachable. You will want to go for a special occasion and for a night out with friends to have a bite in the bar and chat with the locals. You don't leave Pinons disappointed - quite the contrary. The intention is to exceed expectations. Pinons is a must for any visit to Aspen.

    We did the private cabana and it was awesome! So charmingly decorated, plus had a Bluetooth speaker for us to crank on our own music. Great service and food was good.

    Upon entering a man greeted us and took our reservation information. He left to check on our table we assumed. A tall blond woman then asked us for the same info again. Upon informing her we already did this process she rudely excused us and proceeded to seat two groups behind us. The man in the plaid shirt returned and realized he had forgotten about us. Just lots of uncomfortable mismanagement and standing around the entry. The carrots on the Dover sole were so hard that my butter knife could not penetrate them at all. I had to request a steak knife.

    Ordered tuna tacos, ribeye and pork tenderloin followed by chocolate bread pudding. Everything was superb: food, service and attention to detail. Pricing makes it a special event only for us, but we have been many times and always love it.

    Had to knock them down as the restaurant was jam packed and they must have been ignoring local COVID protocols.
