Welcome to Petronella.

Our charming restaurant, located along the romantic allure of the Butterslip Lane, serves wonderful Irish food with warm and friendly service.

We serve Brunch and Dinner from Tuesday to Saturday or come and try Petronella's famous Sunday Roast.

Located on the medieval Butterslip Lane, Petronella, just like her namesake, has an illustrious past, located in one of Kilkenny's oldest and historic buildings. The restaurant pays homage to Petronella, the first woman accused of witchcraft in Ireland and the first woman in Europe to be executed by burning at the stake, just a few steps from our door.

We were celebrating our daughter Ella's 21st birthday. Staff very welcoming and polite. Food really good. We always enjoy our visits to Petronella

Very disappointing. Service was inattentive and slow. The beef was tough and the hake had lots of bones.
